No need to wait that long, buddy. The ink doesn't have to be dry....it only has to hit the paper to be official. You can start being relieved WHILE the ink is drying! You're welcome!Yup, when the ink is dried, only then will I be really relieved.
Not a bad record when your starter goes out early in the season and your backup quickly has to earn the respect of the team in two weeks. Also not a bad record when you consider they didn’t want either of the guys starting this year. I’d be all aboard the Da hate train, if someone would provide one valid reason and not just some feelings that are technically misdirected hatred for SP because he up and quit on us. I’m also not saying DAs great, because he hasn’t done it yet. I chose not to pick on people unless they deserve it. But that’s just me.One game from winning the division. Outside of the first game, at no point were above 500 the whole year. We beat one team with a winning record because the MVP candidate QB was out. Allen is a terrible head coach, but you guys keep lowering the bar to convince people we weren't that bad just because the division was weak.

To me, this is the best part of the whole deal. This also likely means that Michael Thomas stays a New Orleans Saint.
Truth. I hope we still get Hooker though.I'll root for him but I honestly think we just squandered an opportunity to reset the salary cap and have an amazing opportunity to have a great young core going into a very talented QB draft next season.
I'm not buying the less part because the Jets had him as 1b from the beginning. He's an upgrade, but my opinion of him has not changed; we'll see. From Underhill’s article:
“The Saints and Carr’s team finally started discussing numbers at the end of the week, and once it became clear everyone was on the same page, the deal came together quickly. Because in the end, for Carr, it was more about fit than money. And he proved that by taking less money from New Orleans than he may have gotten elsewhere.”
That’s good. Wonder how much less?
“Da is just a little guy”. See the movie Tommy Boy, and Tommy is telling David Spade that? Sorry made me think of it.Not a bad record when your starter goes out early in the season and your backup quickly has to earn the respect of the team in two weeks. We were not firing the coach after one year. Da now has his coaches and his QB. It’s his team, no more excuses. Let the chips fall. If the Saints go 4-13 for the next two years, then they’ll reboot. I dont see that happening tho. Now that Carr is on board, or seemingly so, ML and Ireland will work overtime trying to land the additional pieces on O and D. Had we punted this year, then there would be no FA movement to the Saints. Having a chance is better than not having a chance.I'm not buying the less part because the Jets had him as 1b from the beginning. He's an upgrade, but my opinion of him has not changed; we'll see.
