Good, they can pick up one of the top LB's out there...there's only about 4-5 of them that would be good at 20, but reaches at 10.

I've never understood how a player is a reach 10 picks ahead of his 'projection'. If the coaches think he fits the system, and we can't trade down or know he won't be there when we pick again, how is that a reach? :dunno:

Because this FO drafts BPA. At 10, he might not be the BPA and they can't justify pulling the trigger, even if it fits a need. At 20, he might be the BPA at that time and fill the need...

Mort didn't say as much as we thought. All he said was that we had offered a second and that the Giants said no thanks. Then went on to talk about the Browns being so active. When they're 12-4 next year, we can remember this FO sitting on their hands and the Browns making all the moves.

I didn't hear that we were pushing very hard for him, nor did I hear any specific counter offers on our part.

I just have a hard time getting excited about Shcokey. I mean, EJ was supposed to be an extremely great catching TE....same with Boo and Zach Hilton.....and Sloan, Conwell, Cleeland, Walls.

Its just hard to get excited when all of those other guys came in here and eith flopped or became the walking (or in some cases not) wounded.
