All of you that aren't a big fan of this & that, and don't like this, that and the other... I will say this one more time.

IT ISN'T FINISHED! I said this before we moved in the announcement that was up on the old board for two weeks.

The old board took a long time to evolve into what it was. You don't think that it actually came with all of those features out of the box, do you? It takes time. I don't get paid here and don't do this for a living. Sitting back here hacking isn't all that I do all day and night. I have real jobs, so cut me some slack.

Trust me... when I am finished there won't be much to complain about, and if there is, feel free to go elsewhere where you DO like it. Just consider that this site is built for speed and is on a new server that is set up to handle 1000's of simultaneous users. We need that scalability, so it can't be overly graphical and full of too many resource hogging features. But I will get it as close to the old board as possible.


To the rest of you... Pardon the rant and Thank you all very much for your patience and consideration.

Dont get me wrong I love Reggie and Drew, but how can you get rid of Duece from the banner at the top of the page? Thats just wrong! Duece has been the heart of this team for years and I dont think that you can place Reggie over Duece just yet. I think he deserves more respect than that.

Now see, y'all ticked off the Big A! How about a big :BRAVO: for all of the hard, UNPAID work he and the other mods/administrators have put into this? If you're having trouble with something, there are stickys to help you find what you need to know (that helped me out a lot); if there's something you hate, then just :tapedshut: for awhile and give them a chance to fine tune and fix things, or at least a nice pm would be better, no? It's like moving into a new house -- it's a mess for awhile, you can't find anything, but once you get your stuff set up the way you want it, it's GREAT. Give it time, and be nice! Or I'll come after ya!

Another way to get the spell checker up in your quick reply box is to go to your "user cp", then "options", then at the bottom of the options page under "misc options" set it to "enhanced interface full WYSIWIG Editing". Thats how I got my spell check box in the quick reply box. The first time you click the spell check box, you will be asked if you want to download IE spell. Download and run the exe file and bingo you have the spell checker.

Cmon folks, try to figure out a few things for yourselves, its not that tough, or at least look around, your gripes may have already been addressed.

I really, really don't see what's all the fuss. Reminds me of when I bumped our network at work from Windows 2000 to Windows XP.

Oh, the employees cried and moaned and groaned and complained because they couldn't find this or the menu didn't look like that.

But, the bottomline is that we had to go to XP. Period.

A month later, you couldn't have made them go back to Windows 2000 if you tried.

Sorry about that.. I would have liked to have brought all of the posts over, but that database was pretty much beyond repair, and I sure didn't want to screw this one up.
