4-2 which is what the Saints run the most on defense, 3-4, 4-3 all require LBs which the Saints have in short supply. As much as I like DD, he didn’t have a great year and doesn’t have that many years left. Pete Werner is slow and good at making tackles 5 yards down the field. Teams take advantage of him with TEs and RBs in the passing game. He also misses a lot of games with injuries. Gay played a little but wasn’t used much at all.

Or another young QB. It will be interesting to see if they keep Carr, cut Carr and go with Rattler, or cut Carr and sign someone like Fields, Daniel Jones, Darnold, or Zach Wilson as reclamation projects. But I think/hope that will be up to the next HC.

lol I hear ya. If it’s between Glenn and Nagy I sure hope Vrabel gets a look. He was good in Tennessee imo, and didn’t get a fair deal.

I'm not sure Rattler is the answer, but he is exciting to watch sometimes. If we've learned anything about the NFL lately is that teams give up on QBs too early with Darnold being the most recent example. Minnesota needs to just lock him up and make him their QB1. It's not a popular opinion, but I would sign Daniel Jones to backup Carr for 2025. He's big, mobile and durable with arm talent, he just needs development, mentorship and good coaching. Saints fans love the comeback stories, the underdog and resilient people. He can be that guy. I'd use him in KK's offense with Vrabel as HC.

Another option that has been mentioned on here, is a pick swap with Minnesota for McCarthy. That would be perfect for a Vrabel HC'd team. IMO, Vrabel and Jim Harbaugh are a lot of like when it comes to coaching styles and how to build teams.

We need to look at all options while looking for our future QB1.

This Saints leadership has gotten even worse than I thought. Nagy is Ken Wisenhunt 2.0. The only reason that chiefs offense is somewhat productive is Mahomes' uncanny abilities and Andy Reid.

Nagy would rank as one of the most idiotic hires in NFL history. To even interview him is an embarrassment.

And people wonder why some of us want Loomis gone yesterday? And no, it has nothing to do with 'reading comprehension'. This is the kind of crap that is in line with Mickey Loomis.

And no, Rizzi should not be a legitimate candidate.

I totally agree with everything you said. I'm replying simply to add (from my frustration), that it seems like Loomis is so freaking lazy that he'd just think "well the Chiefs are successful, and we can't get Reid...so) They were good before Nagy and will be good when he's gone. One ought to see what Nagy did while with Chicago.
