"The Poo Throwers are without question the most banal band in rock history. We are definitely in an artistic dark age when it comes to mainstream art. Whether it be movies or music or anything else in the arts. The movies made today have no originality as well as the music made today. "
"Rap, hip hop, rock, country, metal are all in the toilet. The only thing to discuss is which genre of music is the worst, and since they all suck, it's a tough call. If the Poo Throwers were around in the 70's, they would've been laughed at as a joke. Even Dave Grohl admitted that he/they suck. He's quoted: "Yeah. Basically we suck" I appreciate his honestycl & I just wish the mindless morons who listen to them & the idiot critics who praise & award them would come to Dave's very honest conclusion that they do indeed suck. "
"And 1 last thing, Dave Grohl is just an average musician & a well below average composer and he knows it, and that why he's a total poser who tries too hard to be "cool" & likeable & give his mindless fans the "warm & fuzzies" about him being this "cool" dude. Well the " is that his "cool" act is all an act and a pose. He just comes off as very cheesy & quite patronizing. Yeah Dave, basically u do suck. You're an average rock drummer, a lousy guitar player, a sub average vocalist & a awfully generic & lame songwriter."
Foo Fighters > Nirvana
So, I have been listening to a few interviews on XM and youtube, and Dave Grohl really has nothing good to say about Nirvana, or Kurt Cobain lately. I have heard him say, Nirvana's songs are basic, the music seems odd, Nirvana is not allowed to be listened to in the house, Kurt Cobain is just human, let me talk about my family, and the Foo Fighters.
For a band and person that pretty much elevated him from living on the skids, to living a luxurious life style, and helping to kick start his career, he seems like he would rather discuss the color of orange juice.
I guess it's like the remaining members of The Beatles, they seem pretty much completely sick of talking about The Beatles, and just want to promote a book, or something.
"“I was afraid Dave would just roll his eyes, like, ‘Oh great, the butt crevasse from MTV is trying to be my friend. But he opened the package and said ‘Cool, I’ve never had brushes before.’ As it turned out, he used both the sticks and the brushes during the show. It’s nice that the band was so amenable to trying new things.”
Grohl wasn’t out of the woods yet during rehearsal.
When rehearsals began for “Pennyroyal Tea,” Cobain insisted on playing the song by himself at showtime, with Coletti saying,""Dave Grohl Says He Overheard Kurt Cobain Talking About Kicking Him Out Of Nirvana"
Dave Grohl Says He Overheard Kurt Cobain Talking About Kicking Him Out Of Nirvana
“I was really upset because I thought things were okay,” Grohl told Vulture.www.huffpost.com
I think if Kurt Cobain lived through the year 1995, Grohl would of probably been doing something else. Just a guess, but maybe it was the song Marigold that put Kurt on edge.
Anyways, I think to combat Dave Grohl's ban on Nirvana being played in the house, anyone who likes Nirvana should not listen to the Foo Fighters, and request radio stations to never play the Foo Fighters.
Just say no!
We ain’t got time for Nirvana/Foo tribalism from some sheet that happened 30 years ago.
Ask someone to give you a hug. Merry Christmas!
