Force Feeding DA is About Loomis Trying to Prove that He Can Win a Championship Without Payton and Brees (1 Viewer)

It's been nearly 3 years without CSP, we have a GM who is hell bent on proving he's smarter than everyone and we have retained a coach who has an historically bad W-L record.....I so wanted to be wrong about DA but there are zero excuses left....and no, despite the nonsense spewed by some of the so-called experts on this board, Kubiak is not going to suddenly make DA a competent leader.....

We will have to agree to disagree here......I think the guy went off the deep end last year, maybe he comes to his senses? We will see....

I agree DA needs to be fired and I agree if Loomis doesn't do it this year he needs to go to.

I just don't see any evidence that this is some ego trip and he's never been that guy. I mean if it's all about ego you don't hire 3 former NFL GMs in Ireland, Ziegler, and Mueller. Maybe he snapped last year but if he did why go out and hire Mueller?

DA is terrible and should have been gone two years ago, but I think the reason Loomis kept him is that he recalled Payton having 3 straight 7-9 seasons with people calling for Payton's head but Loomis was patient and it worked out. I think he was hoping that the same was true with DA so that is why he has held out this long not because he's on a huge ego trip.

But hey, I don't know the guy personally so I could be wrong. At any rate, DA needs to go by the end of this year and if not then Loomis needs to go with him regardless if the reason he kept him was ego or too much patience.

But, if you disagree with that, it's cool.

The cake was, as GM, deciding we were going all in for Watson.... the icing on that cake is the failing salary cap combined with bad drafting and the ice cream with sprinkles on the side is protecting DA. Going all in for Watson was the first sign that Loomis has lost his damned mind. One day everyone is going to catch up with me on the Loomis train... but it's fine yall can ride the caboose... I'll conduct.

Problem is that Loomis switched tracks and you are still on the same line yelling at a cardboard cut out of Loomis.

If he doesn't fire DA this year and goes back to the old ways with the cap and the draft prior to getting a young franchise QB, I'll join you on the fire Loomis train. But until then, I think we have much bigger changes needed at head coach and in the scouting department.

Loomis wants to prove he can win a championship without Payton and Brees... I mean, isn't that every GMs goal? To prove they can build a winner? Like isn't that their whole entire job? To build a winning football team? A championship contending football team?

Yeah but his ego is so large that next he's going to try to win a championship without DA and Carr.

He still made the choice to drown us. Just cause someone saved him at the last possible moment will never change that. Unforgivable.

Any move that also doesn't including Loomis being out of football operations is just shifting the deck chairs around on the Titanic. A complete pressure wash needs to happen.

Small chance it will.

Meh. He put us in this position in order to extend the window for a Championship with Brees and Payton. I can't fault him for that. What I do fault him for is continuing it for two years after Brees was gone and one year after Payton was gone. He started to get things back in order in the last year or two, but this should have started 4 years ago. But, given the signing of Brees and Payton, a Super Bowl Win, and 2 NFC Championship game appearances (should have been 3), I'm willing to give Loomis one more coaching hire if he does fire DA by the end of the season.

I mean i get holding on to hope that he will fire DA, but that aint happening. This season has already been written off as injuries beyond the results.... and that Rebel janitor guy that posted a view inside of the front office a couple days ago tells us how they view DA. The head coach that knows how we do thing around here.......

The Rebel Janitor guy was talking about at that point. He doesn't know if Loomis will change his mind based on future results or "things beyond the results". The team is going to be more or less healthy next week and beyond. So, DA has 9 games to prove that it was the injuries that caused the early season collapse. I don't think he can do that and I predict no more than 5 wins and likely 4 wins. That IMO will make Loomis fire DA.

But if not, I agree Loomis has to go.

Would you keep trying to force feed your attempts with DA though?
Of course not. But fire him or not fire him. Those are the two options. Neither one indicates that he isn’t trying to win a championship. If anything, keeping him would indicate he doesn’t want to win one at this point. I don’t know how you don’t see the logic in this original post is so head scratching. I don’t think it went from your mind to text like you think it did. Or something else is bad off.

I'm perfectly fine my guy.

All he has proved so far is letting his HC he hires decide when he leaves and goes and the trade details to agree on..... dont think another owner out there willl hire him

This is all I'm saying
