I'm proud that the Saints finally have a force at MLB.....it's been since Sam Mills that we've had a true difference maker at that position.

Thanks for the classy post, and don't be a stranger around here! It's great when fans of other teams come in and add some real quality and another perspective to our discussions. I know you're heartbroken at losing Vilma; I visited his website and I am very impressed with Vilma the person. I already knew we were getting a top young LB.

Congrats on Faneca...your OL is scary good now. I coveted D'Brick when the Jets took him; he's going to be a star on the OL for many years, and a solid OL is something you cannot put a price on.

I love Jets fans...when we lived up in northern NJ for several years, we'd go to the draft (when it was still at the Marriott Marquis!) and hanging out with the Jets fans was the most fun (along with verbally abusing Mel Kiper from the balcony...heeheehee).

Just think, a guy like Vilma in a city like New Orleans...I predict he's going to be a team leader in the community as the city rebuilds. There's a reason he's a Saint now, like Brees a couple of years ago. It's just a gut feeling I have, but I truly think he will see, like Bush and Brees did when they arrived, that there's so much more he can do than just win on the football field...and he seems like the type of guy who will embrace the fans and the community, and how he can help.

I'm loving this signing more and more and more. I'm going to have to get myself to training camp this year to meet these new guys!

Sorry that you had to lose such a great player/person. Espically in the division you are in :/. Though, know that I always pull for the Jets to smoke those Pats,.. To be honest, I really have a pain towards the Jets... My first Saints game that I ever went to was against the Jets (Turley helmet toss game). Your chant really got annoying , but I guess thats with every opposing team. I'm sure a lot of ppl get tired of hearing "Who Dat Who Dat Who Dat say they gonna beat them Saints" When they are getting smoked... Though with all that aside, the fans are really good natured, and have suffered like us for years. SB 3 was a long time ago...So I guess I can put my past aside and pull for you guys in the AFC!

I wanted to let you know the type of player you guys are getting in Jonathan Vilma. This is from a die hard Jets fan, I go to EVERY game. He was one of my favorite players, I posted this on a Jets Message Board. The Jets fans, and organization lost a great person, and player.

Congrats New Orleans Saints fans, you deserve to have a player like Jon.

That writing up there is from my heart. I meant every word I said, it was great having the chance to meet Jon.

We have a true stud MLB for the first time since Sam Mills. A guy I (and the Saints) badly wanted when he came out of Miami.
