From a Jets fan... what it was like while Jon was a Jet. (2 Viewers)

Great post!! Jon .. I live & work near the Meadowlands .. where are you ? The jets are my AFC team... and my sis is a HUGE Jets fan..... I am planning a draft day party... you are invited BYOB all the BBQ provided... PM me if you would like to attend... sis would love another Jets fan...
Hey man thanks a lot for the invite! I will be at Radio City for the Draft.... Draft Parties started by fans are the best. I wish u and your friend's lots of fun that day.

And to all of the Saints fans who have welcomed me here with open arms, thanks a lot. And take care of Jon, I know you will.

I live in Staten Island btw..

Feel free to come up...visit with some old friends and make some new ones..... PM me if you can consider comming up... there are a few members who will be here...

Well, I wish we could make the trip, but no can do. One of these days we'll get back up that way, and I'll definitely pm you when we do!

Oh please harrass Mel for me, for old times sake...we'd usually make snide comments about his hair...:hihi:

Of course they may kick people out for that sort of fun nowadays; plus at RC you're likely too far away from the ESPN crew for them to hear you anyway.

I miss the days of the draft at the Marquis; my husband and I got to go a few times while we lived up that way. The players who were there would be in the lobby after they were done; we met Willie Roaf the year he was drafted. We'd sit with the Jets fans and have an absolutely great time. It was like you were on top of all the action; we could have thrown things and hit the ESPN guys easily, LOL. Great memories...

Very classy bro

I sincerely hope your Jets get a third rounder next year.

I can join that sentiment.

And I couldn't have said it better than primadox--Vilma sounds like the Brees and Bush kind of guy who will want to make a difference off the field in New Orleans. It may be that the city needs him even more than the team.

I am getting so jazzed.

Gracias for the post. The pic shows him as the leader & spirit of a defense. Would love to see him wearing #51 here too.

Wow, I can't wait to see him play, I haven't seen many jets games in the last few years, but I would love to see him healthy and get more that 1 or 2 tackles from our middle linebacker. I think his character is part of the reason Sean Peyton wanted him, he will fit right in with this team, all very high character guys.

Thanks for the very classy post NYjetsfan629... Being a Jersey guy myself, I have to put up with a lot of iggles fans here that would most likely never write a post like that.. Well, who knows. Maybe one or two of them might. If we get Lito Sheppard, we will have to keep an eye out! Anyway, I appreciate you sharing bro...

Looks like your O-line should be stellar now...! Good pick up for you guys.

Thanks, Jetsfan....you are getting a great player in Faneca and we will take very good care of Vilma for you - he will be loved here.

I wanted to let you know the type of player you guys are getting in Jonathan Vilma. This is from a die hard Jets fan, I go to EVERY game. He was one of my favorite players, I posted this on a Jets Message Board. The Jets fans, and organization lost a great person, and player.

Congrats New Orleans Saints fans, you deserve to have a player like Jon.

That writing up there is from my heart. I meant every word I said, it was great having the chance to meet Jon.

Thanks, NYJETSFAN. :9:

:potd:

Fan favorite, smallish middle linebacker who wears the #51,who is soon going to be in black & gold...Who does this remind you of??

If he is able to be half the mlb that the great Sam Mills was, I would be extremely giddy!!!

God bless you Sam Mills we miss you!!!
