Ghislaine Maxwell Trial (Epstein’s side piece) (10 Viewers)

I knew that David Letterman got lots of speeding tickets driving in from Connecticut to do his show in NY
I also knew Johnny Carson was married a lot
That’s about all I know about the personal lives of late night talk show hosts (or any time of day talk show hosts for that matter)
Maybe you would find "degenerate" too strong a word. It's certainly subjective.

Letterman had multiple affairs, many with women he'd hired. Don't think I've ever heard too many negative things about Carson. That said, I don't think either was ever known for being overly critical of anyone in a spiteful way even if it may have been warranted.

Seems the the Magician/Performer David Copperfield was a guest of Epstein and court documents show that he asked one of the girls if she was aware that Epstein paid girls to help find more girls.

Thanks for the clown @buzd . That's very adult and aboveboard of you, Mr. Staff Member.
To be clear, that clown was not in my capacity as staff and I have never been accused of being an adult.

Your admiration of Dersh’s love of the constitution is laughable IMO, but I my have seen the wrong font.

Then perhaps he shouldn't have made jokes at Rodgers expense?

Kimmel might be a crappy guy, Rodgers might be a crappy guy, maybe neither guy should take themselves so seriously.

The link I posted had nothing to do with Rodgers (I never said it did). The link that was posted was a protest that was spurred by a joke that Jimmy Kimmel made that called to "kill everyone in China." Sometimes jokes/comments miss the mark. As I previously said, for someone who makes a living by mocking others, I am not sure why Jimmy can't take this joke/comment in stride.

The link you posted was 10 years old and an APOLOGY that Kimmel made for his comments.

I fail to see how this justifies what Rodgers said about him or the threats that allegedly happened to his family because of those comments.

While you never specified that the specific link in question referred to Rodgers, you did mention that Kimmel “threw rocks” at Rodgers (while leaving out that those comments were about haircuts & quotes) but “cried foul” when Rodgers responded (by dishonestly implying that Kimmel was a pedophile & potentially bringing harm to his family).

Do you also believe that Will Smith was generally within his right to slap Chris Rock?
At the time, I thought that Will Smith was justified in slapping Chris Rock for making comments about Will Smith's wife Jada Pincket Smith (who was/is dealing with hair loss). I thought he was justified in defending her honor (and perhaps his own by extension).

Looking back on it now, Smith's response wasn't warranted. They were just words, and had Smith left things alone the joke would have made Chris Rock look bad anyway. Instead he got upset with a joke, and let things go too far.

Had Kimmel not tweeted his response to A-Aron would any of us even be talking about this? Probably not.

You are right, the link I posted was from 10 years ago. I don't see how the age of the article has any impact on the bottom line (the bottom line being a joke missed the mark and caused a lot of people to feel hurt).

I never specified that jokes that Kimmel made, I only specified that he made jokes at Rodger's expense. The saying "Don't start none, won't be none" seems to apply here (imho).

Maybe Jimmy can invite Aaron on to his show and they can hash it out like Matt (Damon) and Jimmy were able to.

I respect ur ability to change and adapt your opinion, and i agree that violence isnt ever really a good response to words, no matter how despicable .

Yes we would, this was all over the news yesterday after Rodgers said what he said, *before* Kimmel’s response .

Pardon me for living in a bubble, because I honestly hadn't heard about this tift until I came to this thread looking to read of updates on the Epstein/Maxwell front.

Rodgers is n idiot. Kimmel is annoying and I just don’t find him funny. Waters wet. The sky is blue. And pedophiles should be tossed in a wood chipper.

Dammit, you fixed your post before I could make a wafers joke...

It wasn’t just that the link was from 10 years ago, but that it was from an apology that he made for those comments.

I have also been very clear that I don’t think Kimmel has a perfect record. I don’t necessarily think he’s a great guy but that doesn’t mean I don’t sympathize with him when he’s falsely implied to be an Epstein pedo (which has a history of violent reactions).

“Don’t start none, won’t be none” and “he made jokes at Rodgers’s expense” seems like a wild justification when one person is mocking a haircut & exact quotes and the other person is making up pedophile accusations.
