Haener starts vs Commanders: 1 INT, 5 punts ; Rattler replaced Haener in 2H: led to 19 points (4 Viewers)

Neither these dudes are it
And yet fans have already picked favourites and will fight desperate tooth and hopeless nail over who is the 'best' of these less than adequate options. The language far too often is not that of sharing ideas, listening to each other and debating opinions, but entrenched positions lobbing angry accusations at each other.

It's a senseless, needless act of tribalism to make excuses for lack of production from your chosen favourite and snide attacks on whoever the 'other option' is. It's been Rattler and Haener this week, Carr and whoever else before that, and various recurrent spells of Taysom, Winston and whoever else we've had to go with under center.

The inescapable fact is they aren't getting it done. Why fight over who gets the next chance to run an ineffective offense grinding out the end of a terrible season? It's meaningless invective that does no one any good.

Neither of these guys are the answer but watch the year the Saints get a high pick. Its a weak QB draft class

Jake has shown a level of decisiveness and confidence every single time I have seen him play. Unfortunately he has not displayed the level of accuracy needed for his style to succeed at this level; hopefully he shows he has improved in that regard.

I think we will see a guy not afraid to take chances, and at times will even look like Brees with how quickly he gets the ball out with the flick of the wrist, but we will likely continue to be a little disappointed with ball placement, especially since he isn’t working with WRs that have the ability to bail him out as often as necessary.

We shall see.

For the record, I do think going with him was the right call.
Whoa

Rattler is the heir apparent, he's the guy we build the team around....we have a QB with Carr and Rattler, build this team up and these QB's will thrive.
All three QBs are under contact, you lose nothing by bringing them all back, unless you acquire a better option in the time between now and training camp.

But this team needs to be actively seeking better options, like any team to be fair, because we're not seeing consistent production from anyone currently on the roster. Hopefully that changes soon, whether it's with these players or others.

Wasn’t he 6/21 or something close? Hard to say any QB on our roster is the future, but I would agree with rolling with Rattler to close out the season.

Edit: 10/21 & 135 yards in the second half

It’s not really an argument at this point, Rattler is clearly the better player and should be the first choice over Haener in every situation moving forward

Do you mean from the QB position? Because he talent around them needs to be improved.
