How would you feel about drones flying around, checking things out?

I've witnessed these myself since the early 2000's, outside some of the casinos I frequent. At first I wasn't sure what I was seeing but as time and witnesses happened there is, no doubt in my mind, that the gubberment has been using these drones for years to spy on us. It really doesn't bother me, for I'm doing nothing wrong, but I do feel a deep sense of invasion of privacy. I mean, WTH, Is this Big Brother, why Yes, Yes it is. We are living it and it's only going to get worse. GEAUX SAINTS!! Through Thick and Thin

I for one welcome our new flying drone overlords! Seriously this is already happening along the border with Mexico.

What makes ya'll think they haven't been up there for years?
UFO's...bwahahahaha!!!

Fear the state, homies. There's no way this can lead to anything good.

Not at all. Well, other than:

1. The next time there's a terrible hurricane or other natural disaster, they could fly all over the place and spot survivors.

2. When a Code Adam comes along, they can fly around above the woods, etc. looking for friggin heat signatures instead of people combing the countryside on foot. Much greater sight ability than a guy in a helicopter. These things can cover acres in minutes. Impressive to see.

3. When some drughead takes off in a car chase, instead of putting law enforcement in danger, these things can track the dude until he gives up, then call the cops to his hiding place. With greater accuracy and less cost than a helicopter (not to mention you can deploy more.)

4. Umm, I don't know, traffic cams that can cover all the major routes at once, alerting authorities and local news if something happens? Tracking wildfires? Watching floodlines when it's hard to have "boots on the ground"? Watching the perimeters of prisons? BORDER CONTROL????

Oh yeah....

4. The government can use them to track your every move, use their x-ray vision to see inside your home, and take the numbers off the credit card you're using to buy internet porn at 1000 feet. Boogity boogity boogity!

It all comes down to safety, not personal privacy. You know, they have satellites if they want to spy on you.

Just to speak about looking in windows or through walls. L.E. has a device that can look through walls to see if there are grow rooms inside of building. supreme court made a ruling on this device a few years ago, because the device works so well you can tell what is going on inside with decent detail. the device when used in any aspect other than the search for a grow shop requires a search warrant.

In all fairness, the Bush Administration didn't necessarily ask for warrants to do anything, and Obama has disappointingly not taken the stand against those practices that I thought he would.

But if you look for the evil in every technology, and ignore the good, we'll never have any positive advances. Maybe we shouldn't allow airplanes to fly, since they are the weapon choice of terrorists. You can do this all day.

Feel free to trade your own privacy and liberties to the government in exchange for potential safety from every possible danger in the world...but I'd like to keep mine.

I'm not trading anything! They're not spyplanes. And again, if you accuse every technology that COULD possibly be used that way of being not worth it, then we'd have to take down all the satellites, airplanes, and the cops can't use helicopters anymore.

This isn't black helicopters we're talking about. They can't really see through your ceiling. The only debate is whether it's safe for the FAA to give them clearance to fly around all the OTHER STUFF THAT'S UP THERE THAT'S NOT SPYING ON YOU.

I hear they can't see anything within a 20 foot vicinity of large amounts of tinfoil. Maybe that'll help.
