How would you feel with Jaxson Dart at 9? (66 Viewers)

Or Jeanty even if we don’t know make the trench picks we need to. But we have to spend our first two picks on solid first and second round talent and not make ridiculous reaches that we could regret. Even if Dart ends up being legit.
My worry w/ Jeanty is can he block. Everyone sees the running game and how that translated w/ an upper echelon back, but they don’t credit the blitz pickups that Barkley had a hand in high enough.

If something happens to Kamara who is our 2nd best back in protection (Williams was #1) Suddenly you’re left w/ Jeanty and Miller in those scenarios and by most accounts Blocking isn’t his strong suit and being his size doesn’t help.

Let someone like the Cowboys take Jeanty high, the Eagles are a smart franchise they’d never use a high 1st on a RB and would instead find a bargain in FA like they did w/ Barkley.

Tyler Warren fills so many more holes in our offense moving past Taysom than Jeanty. Jeanty is great but Warren could be the smarter selection.

That's what I've seen and Mahommes had already been informed the Saints were taking him at 11 and when contacted by the Chiefs he told then that so they traded up to jump us.

QB is risky even in the 1st round i think I read the succes rate is 49.2% on QBs drafted in the 1st
This is yet another variation I've yet to see reported by anyone with credentials. Misinformation is rife.

Again, if the Chiefs were waiting for a call from a draft prospect to tell them what their draft strategy should be, then they aren't running an NFL team in the first place. That's just an outlandish idea.

I’d say this…most running backs of the caliber that Jeanty has displayed are sound football players and athletes in general. If you need him to be a good blocker, he either already is, or at worst, can easily be coached into it.

I wouldn’t worry too much about that aspect.

Think about it…how often do you hear of great, big time backs that struggle or have to come off the field due to blocking worries? Those types of guys just know how to play ball with just about whatever you throw at them that is needed from the position.

Or TMac(though a TE is a young QBs best friend) I say sit at 9 and see if one of the top 5 talents falls to you because if teams reaching for need.

If so, snatch them because one player at a specific position at 9 isn’t going to change our fortunes. Just get BPA if you can, if not look to trade back and get multiple picks

i'm very luke warm on Tmac. I just don't see the dynamic exceptionalism.

Coaching him isn’t the issue, but it’s a part of his game that will be limited because he’s small w/ less than optimal length.

I wouldn’t not draft him because of his blocking, but I wouldn’t chase him are be all in on him either

If we’re being honest I prefer Jayden Higgins Iowa State or if possible Tee Higgins in FA. The player I hope is there at 9 is Mason Graham. I think any type of scheme that relies on BGap pressure needs disruptive interior guys so you don’t need to blitz your Lbs as much

Understandable.

I think the guy has a ceiling as high as LaDainian and at absolute worst, his floor is Mark Ingram.

I’d take my chances on the blocking part that we can get him sound in that department if he isn’t already.

This is all based on if we grade him out to a value worthy of pick 9 of course.
