Hypothetical: If we're 2-4 and lose to Denver on national TV, is DA fired? (1 Viewer)

Maybe if we're 2 - 15 DA gets fired after week 17, maybe

This team has been well coached and prepared. The only game where you can maybe make the claim they were out coached was the Eagles game. Then. again, a stronger argument may be that they were simply out played that day. The 2-2 record isn't my concern, it's the injuries and depth issues we have at some positions. The staff and team have been hamstrung by the front office, the GM in particular.
Are we prepared if we keep dropping winnable games? Does Loomis actually line up and play? Not sure how Loomis is catching strays when he’s not on the field. If games are winnable, then we should be winning them. Despite the injuries, we still had chances to win. Thats not on Loomis. You make your mark in this league by seizing victory under different circumstances. We are now 2.25 years into this era and our only signature win came against a mediocre Dallas team, that I told y’all they were not good.

I disagree about Dallas not being a good team, but you are right that what matters is if you win or not. This isn't a complete roster but the first two games show that it's good enough to get into the playoffs and Loomis has built DA the team he asked for with the coaching staff he asked for. If DA fails to get in the playoffs for the third year in a row, he should be replaced because if you keep losing close games, that's on the coach for either making the wrong calls or putting the wrong guys on the field in the wrong situation. And as I said he has the players and coaches that he asked for at this point. Really no excuses left.

But, I'm will to let the year play out and see if he can win the close ones in the future. No point in a change now or later in the season unless it's down to a 4 or 5 win season which I think is highly unlikely.

At this point I’m not sure what could actually get him fired, short of a video of him with a hooker doing cocaine at an airline hwy motel comes out. Then there’s a 10% chance.

No. First, 6 games isn’t enough to go on. Secondly, waiting until the end of the season is the time to do it if it needs to be done. This allows a full top to bottom evaluation at every level and where the breakdowns need to be corrected. Third, if it turns out to be a clean house and start over season, the new regime can start fresh with less second guessing and likely high round picks in the draft.

I don't see the Saints losing to the Bucs at home. The Chief's game is a toss-up right now. IMO

2.25 years of managing a team that has below league average talent. Besides having less than starters on the OL and TE, our depth is challenged. Thats on Loomis. Coaches can only coach the players in the building. You do realize we are 2 plays away from being 4-0. Thats how tight the margin of victory and success is in the NFL. Thats because this team has been well prepared and coached. They are putting players in a position to be successful, but coaches can't execute the plays.

Curious to see everyone's opinion, I know that every team deals with injuries, but this team is playing undisciplined football. If Shaheed doesn't try to make a hero play on the punt return, we win that game.

I have absolutely zero confidence in DA as HC. But we can be 2-8 after 10 and Loomis isn't firing him. Just not gonna happen.

I don’t see a scenario where Allen is fired before the end of the season. I just don’t think that’s how Benson and Loomis operate.

Doubt anyone is fired even if we end up with 4 win season

No. Probably will be back next season when the Saints backdoor it to 8 or 9 wins
