If Jeanty, T-McMillan and Will Johnson are on the board at #9, who are you taking? (25 Viewers)

Who would you pick if Will Johnson, Ashton Jeanty and Tet McMillan are all available at #9?

Cam thinks it’s this guy and I am with him. I still don’t think he slides to 9 though

He may be the right pick at #9, I'm just saying he's not likely going to be a guy that has the speed to take it the distance like Thomas or Nabors. Cam got a bad 40 on Tet. Most are saying that he ran in the 4.55 range, maybe 4.57, not 4.48.

I still think he's going to be a very good player for short to intermediate routes, he's just not likely to be a guy you count on to take the top off of a defense. Not that he won't occasionally get open deep on people.

Beyond that, he's the perfect fit for the kind of WR we need. Although his lack of separation in college is a bit of a concern.

Taylor will also be a FA at the end of this year and if the Bears and DA say we'll pay you like an outside CB then unless we plan on playing him outside and paying him like it we're up sheets creek.

Taylor is a cross-road. He either lives up to his talent this year or he doesn't get paid. I have no problem paying him if he breaks out and if he doesn't, his price might be reasonable. At any rate, I don't know if Staley sees him as a Slot or a boundary CB. I frankly think that these days a Slot is just as valuable as an outside CB for teams that don't just play press man on the outside all the time.

If the Saints were playing for 2025 I’d agree. But they shouldn’t be. The Saints aren’t ready to contend with teams like the Eagles right now. Tet would very likely outlive Carr and Rattler.
I think this is probably the prevailing thought around here, but:
  • Week 3: Lost 15-12 vs. Eagles at Caesars Superdome, New Orleans.

That game was decided by a field goal. You could argue the eagles hadn't hit their stride yet, but we had already started the injury landslide.

My preference would bet Jeanty->Tet->Barron

Mike D on WWL Radio just said that Jeanty isn't getting past the Raiders at 6th.

He said we are probably going to have to chose between Will Johnson & Will Campbell...
Bruh. Missing on Jeanty, Warren and Tet and then having to pick between those two guys would be such a bummer.

The problem is that we’re paper thin. We all knew it going into the year. The stars had to align…Kamara, Hill, Olave, Shaheed, and the starting OL had to stay healthy because there was nobody even close behind them. When you are that reliable on a few players, and ones with extensive injury histories, you’re going to have a bad day. We’ll have to see what happens in the draft but this looks like the same shallow team and the stars are either at or beyond their expiration date. Absolutely, they can start out hot and win a few games but the depth has to improve significantly to have a real chance. And it’s a race against time with this aging team.

He did say that Johnson is an elite shut down corner.
He said if you watch his tape prior to his toe injury, his side was completely shut down...

He said if we draft W. Campbell, he believes Fuaga goes back to RT & Penning goes to LG.

Someone will be there at 9 if Jeanty goes before.

It pushes someone else down and one of Tet/Warren and possibly even someone else will be there especially if 2 QBs go top 8. This doomsday scenario isn’t very realistic.

Carter
Ward
Sanders
Jeanty
Hunter
Graham
1 wildcard pick(there almost certainly will be one)

That’s 7 so that leaves:

Warren
Mcmillan
Johnson
Campbell

Edit: I could easily see a scenario where someone takes Campbell in the top 8 because he is still regarded highly.

Armand Membou is the likely wild card we need to see go in the top 8. If that happens, and the QBs go, we should be in good shape to land one of the forum offensive skill position favorites, or at least have the option to.

I’ve also seen Shemar Stewart sneaking into the top 8 as well. Membou I could also see for sure. Jaxson Dart is a wildcard too imho.

Carolina I think is the answer here: If they go Defense(I think they should) then that is another one down.

Tankathon has us taking Warren at 9 with a similar “doomsday” scenario.

The Carolinahuddle.com seems to think that it is between Mykel Williams and Shemar Stewart.

Whoever they think is the BPA. And do that every round unless you're just spilling over with talent at a position. But we don't have a position that's that stacked.

Who's playing middle LB for the Jets these days?
