If L.A. Gets A Team, Seahawks May Move To AFC West (1 Viewer)

Also, St. Louis has the worst record for the past 10 years it seem. It is hard to maintain a fanbase with that. It won't last longer if they continue to be the one of the sorriest teams in the league in LA.

I don't that will happen to because Georgia Frontiere was one of the worst owners in sports history, who basically executed a real life version of the plot of Major League to move the rams to StL in the first place. Kroenke has only had four years of ownership to fix what she broke.

BACK to AFC West? Well, ok. So, who from AFC West would to NFC West? And if Raiders move to NFC West -- they ought to just fold up shop.

That's right. The Seahawks moved to the AFC in 1977 after their first season in the NFC, then moved back to the NFC in 2002. I wish they would've stayed in the AFC. :angryrazz:

The only way I see a conference switch if the two LA teams end up being the Raiders and Chargers (Rams stay put/move to San Antonio or Birmingham or London or the Moon or something). NFL wouldnt want two Los Angeles teams in the same division. Can't see them removing the Raiders or Chargers from the AFC West for any other reason at all.

Rams are the only one I actually see moving anyway so it might be a moot point.

If the Hawks move to the AFC, I'm down with that. Then we don't have to worry about playing them in Seattle in the playoffs. I like our chances against them in the Super Bowl. :) Too bad this didn't happen before last season.

As negative as I am about our team right now and about our inability to beat good teams, I want the Seahawks to stay. If we can get our crap together, we can beat anyone.

In other words, frack the Seahawks.

It would be great to not have to deal with Russell Wilson for the next decade.

We can't be scared of Russell Wilson and the SeaRats for the next decade brutha.

It's totally justified if you're scared this year because we're pretty bad but who knows what we'll be like in 4 or 5 seasons from now. I want to play the best of the best and beat them--in their home.

I always believed the Cowboys should be in the NFC South and the Panthers in the NFC East. Makes more sense geographically.

Logically, it should be. But it's all about money. Having 4 of the largest markets in the country in the same division is why they will never change.

For example, the Dallas Cowboys are in the NFC East but yet their stadium is further west than the Texas Rangers (also based in Dallas) who are in the American League west and who's stadium is further east than the Cowboys.

Rivalries are important but money is the determining factor.

As for San Antonio, NFL football has no place in San Antonio. Period. Two teams are enough for Texas. Don't listen to me, though. I suppose I still harbor some ill feelings about 2005.

Your vision is cloudy. It's ready for SA!
- Tim Duncan bulks up and becomes a 7 foot Jimmy Graham
-Tony Parker learns to throw the ball and becomes the next Russel Wilson
- And Ginobli becomes one of the best FG kickers in the league

We tear down the losing money Retama Race track and I have professional football 14 minutes from my house. It's happening Bro. I am getting messages from my deceased mom.

The team name will be the San Antonio Mexicans. The NFL will be expanding and growing the international market in Mexico and South America. Can't you see the vision or should I take one of my Doggy's meds?

So it could be a restoration of the status quo in 1960, with the SF 49ers, Oakland raiders and LA chargers and rams...

Here is the way I think it will go down.

Rams owner bought 60 acres in LA, then he leaked to a media member that they would be moving to LA after the season but weren't going to make the announcement until after the Super Bowl. Basically, he is just using LA for leverage but also as a last resort if taxpayers don't pony up for a new stadium.

The Raiders aren't being quite as aggressive just yet. They simply hired a direct mail company to send some surveys to a small percent of San Antonio residents asking them questions about whether they would support the Raiders. Really, this was a much cheaper way to put the rumors out and get the ball rolling towards a new stadium deal in Oakland.

My prediction it will all be the same next season except a couple teams will be getting new stadium deals. Next season the rumors of a team moving to LA will start up again when a light bulb goes out in one of the other stadiums around the league.

The Raiders should move to Compton.

Is this a joke?... L.A. couldn't keep the Rams, the Raiders returned to Oakland and to add insult to injury, they lost their expansion bid to the Houston Texans.

That's three strikes

If the rumors are true that's means we only have to deal with Russel Wislon every four years.

I hope that's not true, I dread the day that they can use LA as a cudgel to force us to replace Superdome...

I keep seeing Minnesota and San Antonio in the conversation... why?

Minnesota is getting a new stadium and Jerrah and Bob McNair will never let another team invade their markets

That day is coming, probably sooner rather than later. The lease goes through 2025. Will the Superdome still be good enough for the NFL in 2025? How much money will we put into it. The Superdome to me is going to be one of those timeless classic stadiums.. There have been others, wrigley field, solder field, yankee stadium, fenway, etc. but even Yankee stadium was eventually replaced. I'm in no hurry to move on from the superdome but one day it will happen.
