If the Saint could make one more move? (2 Viewers)

Tyreek Hill would solve all of the offensive issues that have knocked us out of the playoffs three years running. And he could do it without requiring a QB that can throw the ball deep. Just get him the ball in space, and Payton is great at scheming people open. I think having Reek would instantly solve the majority of our offensive problems (that usually surface in the playoffs) in that teams know as long as they mark Kamara, they can sell out and blitz us without any risk of getting burned for big chunk plays. Because as good as Thomas and Cook are, if you vacate the middle of the field, they're not going to break one tackle and score from 60 yards out. We'd have the explosion on offense that we haven't had in 8 years or so.

I'm glad it won't happen because Hill would be really, really hard to root for as a complete garbage can of a human being. But this would be the move that would give us the greatest chance to win another ring this year.

If it's defense give me Stephon Gilmore. He's a takeaway machine and a CB lineup of Latt, Gilmore, and Jenkins is basically shutdown. Ain't no Eli Apple to pick on there.

The best single move that seems reasonably possible is re-signing Eli Apple to be a reliable CB starter if one of our top two go down.

Griffen would be a luxury. If one of our starting DE's go down, it would stink but we could get by. If one of our starting CB's go down, we're screwed.

Griffen period. Guys a stud can rush from de and dt. Would keep everyone fresh and best of all keep him off the damn Vikings team

Hey LC! Do you think Devonte Harris has the ability, given time and coaching, to fill a similar role as Hill? Thx

I just don’t see how clearly a top two roster in the entire league is a few pieces away, but we all are entitled to our own opinions. Would we need a few breaks? Sure! But, every team that’s ever won a SB has needed that
I didn’t say we couldn’t win the suber bowl with the roster we have, but just because we have a good roster and are contenders doesn’t mean still couldn’t use a few pieces. I personally think Griffen as a RE and then a few more depth players would improve us even more. To win a Super Bowl you have to continually improve at every possible stage throughout the season. You may think we have a top 2 roster right now, but come the start of the season for example that could be different. Teams make moves, things change, injuries etc. I don’t see what I said in my original post as a negative, more solidifying the roster and adding depth. Always chance to improve.

We could trade Wharford and with the extra money bring in Griffen, Apple & Ogletree and we would be set. I'm not too worried about WR since we signed Sanders, and something in my gut tells me that Callaway is going to be something special. It looked like the light came on for TQS the last few games of the season last year and hopefully it just carries over to this season.

Pretty sure Payloo have their eyes set on one or two guys. Saying goodbye to Larry probably means they have agreed on a price for whoever. Out of respect to Larry I don't think you announce anything on the same day.

Extend Davis and Cook free up 9 million plus 10 million we already have puts us around 19-20 million

I like that give me Josh Gordon once reinstated, Ogletree and Markus Golden .

Gordon should be available for no more than 2 million

Golden pay him 5-7 million.

Ogletree 5 million max

Sign your rookies and gives Loomis his 1-2 million over

If he can work his magic and squeeze Apple , Breaux or Crowley back into the fold or 2 out of the 3 to compete for 1 spot do it

If the Saints don't win a Superbowl this season, it won't be because of the roster. You're not going to find a deeper, more talented roster in the NFL right now. Unless they make some kind of trade for a definite All Pro player, they stand pat and roll with what they have now barring injuries.
