Ironman 3 (Extremis) (1 Viewer)

The more and more that is made public with this film the more it looks like Ironman receives a colossal ***-whipping...

A couple posters released featuring The Mandarin. One a close up. One a wide shot with something under his foot...

And Caps helmet to the right, as well as a few sets of dogtags.

Don't think it's Cap's helmet. Cap's headgear is more of a hood that pulls over his face than a helmet but I'm 99.9% sure that it's IM's helmet under his foot.

That's an awesome poster. God, can I just have Ms. Paltrow? :hihi:

I thought I read, could have been a rumor site, that after Avengers 2 they might run Planet Hulk leading to Avengers 3/World War Hulk.

The Hulk loses it at the end of Avengers 2, they ship him off, he returns as out of control/****** off Hulk.

Makes sense...

That sounds like fun, heh. I can't wait.

As for the new Iron Man design, I like the maroon and gold better, although the red, white and blue looks pretty good in it's own right. My son and I already are chomping at the bit for the Avengers 2 release, not to mention Iron Man 3 and any other Marvel movies. The franchise has had a pretty amazing run, and for good reason. I hope they keep it up.

IM3 is supposed to be the last Ironman film, although he will return in the 3rd Avengers film. I don't know what Robert Downy, Jr is going to do though. Every time I see him on TV it seems like he has just adopted the persona of Tony Stark as his own.

There seem to be alot of arrows in that Manchurian poster.. Possibly Hawkeye's? Maybe I'm grasping..

Supposedly Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 will be primarily self-contained and cameo-free (apart from an already spoiled post-credits cameo in Iron Man 3) and the SHIELD characters will show up in Captain America 2.

It looks like Caps original helmet from WW2. I think Mandarin will have some connection to the super soldier program.

If you look closely, the helmet says 'UN' on the front. I don't doubt the super soldier connection will be there, though, considering the tattoo on the back of his neck in the trailer.

I do wonder, though, if the dragon behind him is just a generic oriental dragon decoration or a stealth Fin Fang Foom reference.

The problem with them doing World War Hulk in the Avengers is that it makes everyone but the Hulk seem completely unlikable. I don't see it.

Easy peasy. Hulk gets out of control at some point in Avengers 2, going off mission or causing some serious damage. The World Council (the shadowy figures that bossed Fury around) decide Hulk is too dangerous to stay so they send him away, perhaps with Fury's knowledge/help. If Thanos is the villain, the team may end up in space. Fury could ditch him while they're out there and lie about it to the rest. Planet Hulk happens, then he comes back for the council.

Want to make extra sure Hulk feels betrayed? Have Fury ask Tony to design a plan to get rid of Hulk as a fail-safe in case he ever got out of control, then have Fury use the plan behind Tony's back. Banner/Tony would see Stark tech and think everyone else knew.
