It appears the Kellen Moore thing is shaky (21 Viewers)

People could have said the exact same thing about Sean Payton.

This is going to be a multi-year rebuild, whoever they select as coach. I'd rather have a young guy who's offensively minded that can grow with the team, as opposed to a retread.
You can never predict anything.
I’m not saying Super Bowl. I wanna be clear. I’m not saying Moore will lead the team to a NFCCG like 06….
But would it be surprising if Moore steals a weak NFCS?

They wouldn't fly all the way up to Philly for dinner and make themselves painfully desperate for two weeks.

They wanted unofficial signatures on unofficial paper that becomes official the day after the Superbowl and from the sound of it. They didn't close the deal and put pen to paper.

So, we sitting on a pretty warm seat and the table gets smaller. If it's to squeeze Benson... Very clever.

It has made very evident that Aaron Glenn was always their #1 guy with the whole leader rhetoric

Yeah, strong leadership can take on different appearances. Some of the game’s great coaches and quarterbacks have been calm and methodical.

Hell, we used to talk about how focused and determined Drew was in contrast to Brady throwing tablets and having meltdowns on the sidelines.

It’s never been true that there’s only one way to lead.
Some people here have a daddy fetish.

Man... It's a terrible look if he doesn't come here now.

It would almost have to mean that things are as bad as we think they may be.

sheet all seems a bit weird regardless right now though.. no?
The Saints targeted their man, it's not a desperate hire because other coaches opted out, it's a targeted hire which is why coaches opted out, word gets around fast, these coaches have agents too

When has an owner and GM flew to a Candidate before to meet for a late evening dinner? Extremely odd

Yeah.. just a bit scary because.. we don't know.

He could change his mind even.. or whatever.

Just seems tenuous.. but maybe it isn't.

Yup, I was all aboard the MM hire bc I think he has some good experience that would be useful.

However, once we hire Moore, which we will, I look forward to giving him my full support. Not that that matters to anyone, but I love having some new people in house.

3 guys that were clearly deep in the mix have now withdrawn from consideration. To not think it’s troublesome suggests you are wearing the rosiest of rose-colored glasses.

The outside looking in optics are bad, it’s all over football circles how bad it is, and no one here is privy to if it’s better on the inside. I like being optimistic too, but at a certain point - hell brothers..

I can understand a bit of skepticism with Moore, but some of the comments are bordering on absurd. You can try and poke holes in his leadership, but how can anyone really refute it? It's all quite subjective. What's not subjective is his track record of top offenses. This PHI offense was plain bad the final 9 or so games last season, they've improved across the board and just hung 55 in a NFC title game. He'd be the youngest coach in the league, that's exciting!

I mean, adding our generation’s Barry Sanders factors in a liiiiittle bit. I don’t really love Kellen Moore as a HC, but compared to Kafka/Rizzi hell he is the 2nd coming of Sean Payton on paper.

To get around that, coaches would use other coaches to be the emotional leader. Sean Payton used Joe Vitt, we all wondered why he survived so long.,, When Vitt did finally go, Dan Campbell was that guy. I suspect Rizzi is that guy now. But IMO, it’s best if your HC is that guy.
Right. You build the staff needed to cover all areas.

This is funny. What circles are you running in? What optics? People are assuming too much. Stop reading and following these people that are controlling your view of the optics. You can’t make the truth up and say it looks bad. Just because you don’t know, doesn’t mean you can just make it up. Maybe you just have to wait on the real truth.

I was looking up some Moore clips on YT. The guy will be the youngest HC, he's also very fit, has a little personality, and he is similar to Brees in his being grounded. I'm becoming more sold on him.
