My post is about optics. That’s what we ALL can know. We can see 3 guys pulled out of the search - if Moore isn’t hired, that clearly points to bad optics, as the guy I quoted was saying.

If you are claiming the opposite is true with zero facts, you are doing exactly what you’re trying to accuse me of. And just because there are plenty more like you with your head buried in the sand doesn’t mean it’s not burying your head in the sand.

I thought you’d be above the “negativity brigade” sentiment. What I see is a segment (probably not even a majority) of the fanbase that thinks blind optimism is somehow being a “better fan”. You are allowed to be critical of something you support. You are allowed to be concerned when a coaching search does not appear to be going well. It’s okay to be critical of those that put the franchise in that predicament.

When your team is interviewing the 31st ranked offense’s coordinator, you’re allowed to be like, “what the hell are we doing?”

If it’s Rooney Rule motivated to bring Kafka in, I would say that is a pretty disgusting move by the organization tbh. There are a ton of highly capable black football coaches.

No, I think if you don’t have an obvious hire in a situation like this, and you are legitimately looking at prospective HCs with an open mind, you legitimately allow minority coaches to give their vision.

Anthony Weaver is probably right there with Moore for me as 2nd best candidate that’s been interviewed and remains in the mix.

Brian Flores is a better hire than all of the 3 that seem to be in the mix for the job (I know there’s a pending lawsuit). Robert Saleh is a better hire than all 3 options.

FWIW…I do think that’s the problem for black candidates. We need to see more black OCs, and the league recognizes that and is creating initiatives to develop that more rather than having the sham HC interview circuit.

You have not seen me suggest “Saints are racist”. You created the scenario and then tried to infer, dude. You gave me a “what if” scenario of a white guy with a fractional minority claim that helps the team to skirt the RR, while we have an ongoing HC search that’s clearly been an open search without a run away candidate.
