Jameis Winston played a heck of a game against the Saints!!! (4 Viewers)

He was right about us, we were wrong about him....he said because of the heavy man coverage that there would be opportunities and he was right, we said Jamies will give us one or two and he didn't.

Defense dropped like 2 could be picks. He missed the tight end for a score. Jameis is a clown.

Come on man Jameis deserves a little more than that. He is not a HoF QB no one on here is saying that. But he really enjoyed being there at the Saints organization and a lot of players appreciate his devotion to the team. So come on we can do a little better on here.

Winston has always been the classic lovable gunslinger, but remember his year as a starter here before his injury? Payton had him playing with discipline (well, with an exception or two), and it really paid off. A shame about his injury in the Tampa game that year.

He gave them , we just didn't accept them, just like a few QBs this season. We must lead the league in dropped picks

I have always said that JW needed a QB whisperer. Like a Payton or maybe a Ben Johnson. Funny thing is that JW was available in the offseason and SP needed a QB and there was no interest

I could never figure out why, when Carr was hurt and couldn't throw very well last year, DA didn't start Winston. Carr's reception by the fan base was largely due to this - rolling him out when he wasn't 100%. Bascially they paid Winston like $10M (a bit of a premium) to back up but didn't let him do that job.
He wasn't a Dennis Allen guy.

That injury changed the entire trajectory of this team, IMO.

If anything, Winston is showing that he could start on a lot of teams. I hope he gets a shot somewhere.

He led them to 14 points.

But, I suppose that was better than these juggernauts…..

Jax 6
Atl 6
Tenn. 13

Every other team outscored JW.
Winston put all of those 14 points up against the opposing 35 points, dominantly.

They will sing songs of this game for generations to come.
Yall are saying this like we didn't get 21 points from Taysom having his annual super saiyan game...lol.

That performance was the epitome of why stats are misleading.

Good guy. Don’t want him as my QB.
It's also why not looking at the totality of the game is equally as bad as relying on stats alone. We didn't win because of QB play and they didn't lose because of QB play. Crazy concept; I know. But there are things outside the QB position that determines wins and losses, especially when a QB accounts for 400 yards of offense alone.

not from me. i don't have much love for jameis. sorry.

He wasn't a Dennis Allen guy.

And the Saints aren't a Dennis Allen team. The renewed energy is palpable. It looks like the offense is starting to open up again and the defense is starting to play better.

Even on defense, Cam went from being phased out and looking washed to playing a pretty good game. Chase Young is starting to make an impact.

Well the score is the score. And last game he scored 10. This game 14.

Of course there are other things involved…..but still he’s barely producing points.
