But he also threw for almost 400 yards and 4 TDs and ran for 50 and a TD. Not like it was just a running game. I do not see the Saints drafting a QB high in the draft this year. I think they are looking to 2026 if Carr/Rattler does not cut it.

Yeah, but a lot of those yards were on completely blown coverages in the LSU secondary. That defense was the dream of every college QB that year. I'm not saying Dart is a bad QB, I just don't buy the toe to toe with Jayden Daniels when he Dart was essentially playing against air.

I'd take a shot at Dart in the middle rounds for his athleticism if nothing else. But he doesn't belong in the 1st round.

I do think they like Ward and take him if he falls enough, but that isn't likely so I do think they will look to 2026 in hopes of a better QB class.

It’s pretty clear that the organization believes in Rattler. He fits their strategy in drafting a QB as late round value and they’ll have to see him flame out after two or three years before they even think about drafting a QB again.

I guess you have a point. But find it so strange that people believe he has a shot to start. I think it’s a big stretch for him to be a backup. We need to get better at the position and that includes having a solid backup to Carr and if Rattler wins that position after a fair competition I’ll be fine with that. But I hope Moore brings in a solid young guy to develop that has the ability to become a solid starting NFL qb.

I like Rattler, but I do agree that we should be looking for more competition in the form of a young QB. I don't think anyone thinks Rattler is a sure thing, but many would like to see him get a shot so we know if he will develop into a starting QB or if we need to try to move up in the draft to get one.

Right, don’t sit on our hands and expect Rattler to develop. Bring in some young qbs to compete and let the best man win.
