Jeff Duncan on Sean Payton 2023 (3 Viewers)

Possibly because he knew we’d never let him go there.

It’s all speculation. Every interpretation has an alternate. Until the season ends and decisions are made, we don’t really know anything.

And, like the Watson situation, it could go in a very weird direction.

At least we can be optimistic that we’ll either have Payton back or a first round pick back.
Totally agree. I’m choosing to hold out hope as I’ve lost total interest in the team under the current coaching staff. Didn’t even have the game on yesterday. Payton coming back would bring me back, and a first round pick would help a bit too, if he (likely) goes elsewhere.

This drastically increases the likelihood of Mickey Loomis being the next Jerry Jones/Al Davis. With the news breaking of how he wants his new coach to retain the coaching staff, we probably just need to accept the fact that Mickey Loomis has already reached their levels, and simply needs to call down a play to the coaches every once in a blue moon or tell them how to coach (isn't that already happening?) to fully complete the transition.

I'm already leaning towards the saints being much better off if he goes now. But if he doesn't get Joe Brady/Ben Johnson as head coach, or extends the Carr or Jordan contract, then I'm 1000% certain of it.

Who broke that story about keeping coaches? If the name aint Underhill right now its likely bogus.

Where is this idea that Loomis wants to keep the coaching staff coming from? I haven't seen that reported in any legitimate media.

Our daily reminder of how stupid and inept our front office is....
