Jim Mora didn’t like Rizzi chewing out Matthew Hayball (1 Viewer)

Yeah, because there's no middle ground, it's either the hysterical fit Rizzi threw or the ridiculousness that you posted. There's definitely no sensible alternative in between those two things.

I'd say classifying Rizzi's outburst as a "hysterical fit" is about as hyperbolic as what the other person posted.

But, you know, people are gonna have their subjective opinions. Only thing that matters is what goes on in that locker room.

Why have multiple people posted this? As has been said several times, there is clearly a middle ground between the weak and passive DA approach and the Rizzi outburst.

An approach that holds players accountable but also doesn’t require another player coming in to calm things down would be great.
Yeah but its not that clear, to me of all the complaining, DA did everything from not saying anything to getting to right before what Rizzi did and there was a 100 post about it. If there is a middle ground to not get a thread full of complaints its very very small

People comparing what Rizzi did to coaches like Parcels, Billicheck, and Payton is amusing. First off, usually when you get on a player and he agrees with you, that’s the end of it. Only time I remember those coaches getting on a player and it turned into more was when a player tried to argue. Not to even mention, those other coaches all have something Rizzi doesn’t. Experience and rings.

It was because Hayball ran up field and tried to make the tackle with the rest of the coverage team.
Hayball was probably supposed to be the last line of defense against a TD.
It was a big mistake, I'm not sure if it was the correct time and player to chew out but I do understand why Rizzi did it.
This

If Rizzi did get carried away, it only shows he cares and doing everything that can be right to ensure a win matters. I’m fine with it. That said, what really impressed me was the way AK41 handled and defused the situation. That’s true leadership.

There is a time an a place for everything. His type of chewing should be in training camp/practice and away from the public eye. His offensive line is the one that needed some rear chewing this past sunday.

On a high level, it’s likely that Mora saw Rizzi and what he did as reflection of himself, and he was condescending towards it because he still regrets when he did it to players.

I’m also inclined to think that people who have a deep issue w/ it likely witnessed this behavior themselves at a point in their life and recall how they felt.

Lots of projection happening.

The only thing that matters is how the players respond to it. Hayball responded by punting better and in general the team responded w/ a win.

Nothing to see here lol

lol I was thinking the same thing. I can only imagine but Kamara probably held Rizzi back and was thinking, bruh, how about going to the O-line bench and keep this same energy where all those 300+ pounders are who have been blocking nothing but air and trying to light a fuse under them instead of our punter.

Coach Rizz doesn't have the skins on the wall yet to do "unpopular" things and not be criticized.

Probably went too far, but not so much that he's unfit to be a coach or anything like that.

He can be a coach, I just don't want him to be our head coach. He needs to grow up a little bit and learn to control himself.

Payton was walking briskly, but casually...

"#$%&@*# figures... PUT ON THE CLEATS!!!"

Kind of guy. :biglol:
He also told our young FG kicker to “quit $&@$ sulking!” And to “Grow some nuts!” After he missed a game winning chip shot FG against Tampa late in the 09’ season.

Payton was like that before the rings and Its not directed towards you, but its annoying seeing alot of posters flooding the threads with complaints when they were the same one complaining about the previous coach not doing the same thing this coach is doing. Complaining wanted accountability but in a softer tone. The punter messed up and the camera so happen to pick it up. But unless there's a camera in the locker room and on Rizzi the whole time. To say he dont do this to these players etc etc. Is incorrect because we dont know a 100% what is going on. My thing is, to all the posters complain about DA this what you wanted. It like they wanted a purple shirt but complaining that is violet. Not one going coach to everyone expectations if they win the game and punter punt better it is what it is.
