Jonathan Vilma Arrested - Confirmed (1 Viewer)

I almost hit someone before. Good thing almost doesn't count. In other words, its only news becuase he is an NFL player and isn't that big of a deal. I wouldn't let a cop arrest me or search me for that either, that cop would have to justify his reasons for giving me something other that a ticket for bad driving. The article says nothing of DUI.

The thing is, you WILL NOT win an argument with a cop. If he says get out of the car, that is exactly what you have to do or you will be arrested. If the cop is wrong, you hire an attorney and file charges. At the time of the traffic stop you really have no options. I am not saying the cop is correct but refusing an order from an officer in the conduct of his duties is never the answer. I hope Vilma is not in the wrong, but it sure doesnt sound good. I hope it works out for Vilma, he seems like a good person.

I agree completely. If it plays out like initial reports he definitely made a mistake, but probably not a mistake that has long term repercussions as far as suspensions, etc.

yeah it just said on the news not dui, sorry, i thought it was dui, just reckless driving, so it could be anything, he couldve been in a rush, hopefully this is just some sort of practice that is installed for the new defensive cooridinator's aggressive playcalling and the cop just didnt understand

Examples? And try providing context. That'd be only fair since your making an accusation.

What??? All you have to do is look at the Steve Smith slugging-a-teammate posts and saying how bad of a guy he is. All it was was a freakin fight yet people made a mountain out of a molehill there and saying how he's a bad character guy. It's silly.

See, this is why Williams was brought in, he's barely even talked to the team and at least one of our linebackers is already more aggressive.

He must be making the rounds. I saw him in Vegas at the Palms for New Years Eve. He was actually on my return flight to New Orleans. Good news is when we talked to him he said not to worry that he already has talked to Loomis about a deal. I guess the price just went down.

Won't believe it until i see it. Also one does not go stright to prison when first arrested, but hey you can still be right about him being arrested i dunno.
Yes, they put you in jail for that kind of thing. Looks like resisting arrest to me.

Bye Bye, Thanks for the season, looks like we have a need at MLB now.

That sucks. Awesome hiring with Williams and then the Saint luck hits us and a player is arrested...

If anyone never made any mistakes in their 20's, let him cast the first stone. Yea, it's disappointing, but not a fatal flaw unless repeated. Let him cool his heels in jail a few days and lose $1 million on his contract and maybe he will think about it next time. If he is as smart as we think, he won't do that again.
