Jonathan Vilma Arrested - Confirmed (1 Viewer)

What??? All you have to do is look at the Steve Smith slugging-a-teammate posts and saying how bad of a guy he is. All it was was a freakin fight yet people made a mountain out of a molehill there and saying how he's a bad character guy. It's silly.

That was the 2nd (or 3rd?) time Steve Smith had blindsided a teammate. It wasn't a fight in any sense of the word. Both times he sucker-punched a temmate when they weren't looking and from all accounts neither even knew there was a problem with Smith.

Right, because people here are always reasonable on here when it comes to other members having opinions.

People can have all the opinions that they want. I just find them interesting when they excuse the behavior of one player and condemn others.

I think you guys are missing the real point (1st glad no one was hurt or anything) but as it applies to us Saints fans, that rotoworld hit right on the head, it will probably drive down his price in Free Agency and less teams we'll have to compete with.

If you all heard that Pacman or TO had a DUI, almost hit some pedestrians, and resisted arrest you'd be having a fit. I still like Vilma, and I hope he stays with us, but a DUI (if it is one) is more serious than you're all playing it up to be. He's a great player, but if he is driving drunk, I've lost all respect for him.

One thing. There was no dui, way to make things up 2. T.O. or pacman have completely different personalities than vilma. He doesnt go out and make it rain, hire hitmen,go out into bars and get into fights, he doesnt get accused of altercations and accusations 5 times in a span of like 2 months. He doesnt criticize his teammates and whine for more playing time or being more involved, yell at coaches. If pacman or T.O. do something it will just be another bad thing added to a long list. The one thing vilma did is a one-time bad judgement call.

Actually, if I heard that about TO I would be shocked. As big a jerk and whiny ******* as TO is, he's NEVER been a legal problem. Pacman is a different story all together. He's been arrested something like 11 times and he's been implicated in the paralysis of a bouncer and a potential murder involving hitmen. These do not equal a ran stop sign and resisting arrest.

I can't argue about Pacman, he's definitely a bad seed. But T.O. never broke the law. Yet T.O. might as well be the devil on here, but Vilma's full of character??? It's silly, the fact of the matter is all of them are human and prone to make errors in judgement. Vilma's no better than T.O. as far as off the field "character" goes.

Very few people have ever said TO is a terrible person, though. Most people just don't like egotistical jerks, whether they are good or bad character guys. The dislike for TO has nothing to do with him away from football.

It must be hard for these guys not to think that they are really above the law. Here you have a hero-worshipped millionaire getting pulled over by a guy making $40k a year. It must be a hard thing for their ego to accept. I am not saying he is right or wrong, I am just saying it must get hard for someone in that situation.
That being said, it will cost him some legal fees and even more significantly negotiating posture. Other than that, no alcohol, no drugs, no gun. This is not a big deal in the larger scheme of the NFL.

Nope i never said to was a legal problem but you cannot say that vilma and to are the same people.

I do believe that I said "if there was a DUI." Since I don't believe we have all of the details yet. Feel free to read it again. Slower this time.

And you're right. reckless endangerment, almost hitting pedestrians and resisting arrest is nowhere near as bad as *gasp* criticizing a teammate!

You people are truly silly sometimes.
