I’m by no means an insider I just happen to know members of JJ’s family. From what I’m being told he has been told he will be a top 20 pick, several teams have already told him if he’s there he’s their pick. Denver, LV and Philly are the most interested except for one team who has led the pack in interest. The Saints, but they believe Carolina will take him as Joe Brady thinks he is better than CGM. They also said CSP never entertained trading for Burrow as he believes it was the surrounding talent that made him successful. He specifically said to JJ that he was rated as the best prospect in their board from LSU and their top receiver. With all this being said where do you think he’ll be picked and what would you think it would take trade wise to get him?

A look at each team above the Saints
Cincy, Wash, Det,NYG, Mia, LAC-don’t see any way any of these go his direction.

Car-link to Brady and need for true #1 receiver is there. Think they have more need on D side of ball.

Ari- no need loaded at WR

Jax-could be a possibility but they seem to draft defense in the 1st round consistently

Cle-they have enough LSU receivers for their liking. OBJ may be on the way out so there could be an opening here. Just see them going oline.

NYJ-definitely a need but they have a lot of needs. Could be a potential spot for a team looking to add picks and trade down

LV-Who knows with Gruden and Maylock they play with a different draft board than most. Their first draft looks pretty good so far. The need for a WR is there.

SF-Need is there. FA losses, Draft picks minus Samuel not panning out have left a hole at the position.

Tampa-think they are set a WR

Denver-another team with WR needs but think they could also move back to gain picks. If they stay I think this could be a landing spot for him.

Atl-no need here and. I way they trade with the Saints

Dallas-Have a need but also have invested heavily in the position. With the loss of their C
I look for them to trade back and beef up thy position. Jerry has learned that lines win games.
If Den passes on JJ this could be the spot to make a move and jump up.

Mia-still too early for a WR with as many needs as they have.

LV-see above

Philly, Minn, NE all would take him if available I believe.

Personally I think a deal could be done with Dallas. You could package our 1st and Nick Easton to move up seven spots. It would be beneficial to both teams.

Speaking of inside info and Burrow "trade", where is Swimmer lately? I haven't heard from him a while.

I think he either got banned or the Coach Pete backlash took it's toll on him. Just checked and he hasn't posted in weeks.

but they believe Carolina will take him as Joe Brady thinks he is better than CGM.

Joe Brady has seen Michael Thomas in person. He's seen Justin Jefferson in person. There is no way Joe Brady actually believes this. All due respect to Justin Jefferson but CGM is the best WR in the NFL. If Joe Brady is really saying this then it has to be smoke screen.

We will take the best player available based on our draft board. I'd like for it to be JJ, but we'll see. CSP loves offense, but I believe he'll be gone and we get a LB.

I really would not be surprised to see Jefferson get drafted in the top 15 or be the first or the second WR taken.

That definitely sounds like a stretch, I don’t even believe Brady thought that Jefferson was the best receiver at LSU. I’ll defi be shocked if Carolina takes Jefferson in the top 10.

There is no way that CSP thinks Carolina will take JJ. Carolina picks 7th and there is too much talent that high up to take JJ (as much as I like him).

Jefferson better than Thomas? Yaaa okay

Jefferson may not even be the first Or second WR picked

I can believe JJ or his family said this, and that Payton may have said it or something close to it.

I have never seen so much talent at WR as Burrow had. He could just throw it up, and 1 of their killer WR's would go get it.

Not taking anything away from Burrow, he is very accurate, smart, and fearless.

But JJ has something we need: YAC. He is by far the most impressive WR I saw with the ball in his hands last year. Pappaw Drew needs a dynamic slot or quick dump-off man that can be counted on to make the most of short passes. Jefferson is the man. He's no slouch on the outside either.

I wouldn't trade up. Just going by your list, I think Philly is the most likely to grab him.
I think both Jeudy and Lamb go ahead of him and if Ruggs went as well, it would not surprise me.

Conceivably, we could be the fourth team to take a WR. But to somewhat derail the thread, if he is there at 24 and cincy calls:

Cincy gets 24 (jefferson)
Saints get 33 and 65

Burrow has a safety blanket and we can upgrade 2 areas.

Pick 88- Loose Cannon hacks the NFL and Duvernay becomes a Saint.
