How do you know we are? Briggs will follow the money.
I'm saying we are because we need linebacker help and he's a top free agent but I could be wrong. It doesn't bother me if we are not.

Citing a source, the Chicago Sun Times says free agent Lance Briggs has been linked to the Bucs, Browns, and Broncos.
Denver is called the "dark horse" to land Briggs, who's generated minimal interest within the first two hours of free agency. The 49ers are expected to be out of the running after signing Dontarrious Thomas early Friday.

Meanwhile we're sitting on our hands...
I think we aught to go after Briggs even though that means we will be paying Vilma big bucks if he returns to form. The reason being is that if Grant doesn't step up in the next two years we will cut or trade him and recoup some cap space. I as of now am still on the Grant-Smith bandwagon but if they don't get in better shape so they can preform up to their potential then we should be looking at moving them in the next few years.
But we didn't do the low key thing with Vilma?I think no one truly knows what is up with Briggs, so they are guessing at this point. That actually makes me believe that the Saints might be the landing spot for Briggs. The Saints like to do things in a low-key sort of way. The fact that you really aren't hearing anything of significance other than the fact that he is visiting the Bucs might mean that we are trying to get something done with him. This is not based on any report, just my own speculation.
