Lego building as a hobby (1 Viewer)

which line of legos has motors?
I don't think Lego sells any with motors. There are aftermarket options for motors I believe. I haven't really looked at it much tho. I definitely want to buy train set but to power them, you buy a separate motor and there are some build instructions you cam find. I forget the name of the website. I'll see if I can find it.

This is awesome.

I came home today and my 15 yr old is all of a sudden full on Legos. She buying Creator sets. She had when younger...two tubs worth of Legos, but we gave to some friends who's son was getting into about 2 years ago.

Now she has come full circle. So back to buying sets.

Actually I was wrong. There actually are a few they sell. This is pretty cool, although...$$$. It has an app that functions as a remote control.

There's a short video you can watch to see what it looks like.

This is part of the Technic series of sets.

I really like the LED add ons that you can get, especially for some of the Star Wars sets like the Falcon.

Yeah, there's plenty of tweaks you can make to the sets that I've seen. There's a website rebrickable where you can create MOCs which is basically making a custom set. Some you can make from an existing set with a few pieces you'd purchase separately, or you can order all of the pieces you need wherever you can get them. You can purchase individual pieces from several different sites or on eBay or whatever.

fork, i love lego.
Heck yeah, I got the itch. Several of my kids' sets were missing a piece or 2 and a couple had broken pieces. I ordered like 30 pieces and I'm happy fixing the sets now.

I don't know what she ordered, but my wife bought a few Lego sets for Christmas. I can't wait! Lol.

Yea, I’ve been debating getting one for my Falcon. They also make kits for most of the other stuff I have like the Razor Crest, Ecto 1, Saturn V, and such.

At the moment, I’m running out of space in my office. I need to wall mount my Concord to free up a lot of room. I’m planning to do the Dune Ornithopter when it comes out in February.

A man can dream.

My seven year old has that lego wind turbine at 0:14. He put it on an Amazon Christmas wish list when he was four, and I let him on the assumption that no-one was daft enough to spend that much on a 12+ lego set for a four year old.

So of course his grandad (my dad) got it for him. Had a lot of fun building it, it's on top of some shelves behind me now, next to the millenium falcon (not the 75192 crazy expensive one, the other one).

I saw that wind turbine and told myself, that's in the top 5 on my wish list. My top 5 I want right now:

1) Avengers Tower
2) Rivendell
3) Millennium Falcon
4) Lighthouse - the motorized one.
5) Wind Turbine

The wind turbine is very cool. Huge though!

Rivendell would also be on my list. Along with the Lion Knights' Castle. Would love them to do something along the same lines for the classic 1980s space Lego sets.

I also like the Holiday Main Street... and I have a feeling Santa's going to be bringing that this year. Plus, I think judging by the older kid's wish list this year, there'll also be a load of Minecraft Lego showing up.

Nice, that's some good stuff. The Castle looks really good. I like space stuff as well.

I'd love Titanic, Eiffel Tower and the Colosseum. I think the Colosseum is being retired and they're already out of stock, so that would probably be a third party purchase. We'll probably have to move to make room for those big ones though.
