List of Saints and their practice status today. (Thursday) (2 Viewers)

Not just that, but there were a number of posters complaining about Hill taking TDs away from Kamara and Winston, and that there was really no need for Hill anymore since Winston had a big arm. It seems like some didn't even want Hill on the team anymore.
Exaggeration and over-simplification. The narrative got twisted and sadly that's how you interpreted it. It was very valid to question multiple substitutions of Taysom runs for our base offense when we reached the redzone. It doesn't mean that it was hate towards Taysom. Because he scored both times, it turned to "people don't want to see Taysom succeed so bad, they "complain" even when he scores." So a discussion questioning play calling hits a wall because it's assumed to be Taysom hate. Pick a side, dig in and don't give ground.

Contrary to popular belief, the majority of us fans aren't loving one side and hating the other. There are a few and unfortunately they are the loudest. But these broad generalizations are insulting.

These two QB's are in a tough position. Whoever starts about half of this forum will be unhappy and God forbid we lose to the birds there will be all time second guessing of the Coach! The good news, however, is that the Coach could care less who we want to start and will be making the decision based on who he believes can bring this team to it's 6th victory Sunday! I think I'll go with the Coaches decision, still thinking though that Trevor should be the guy - can't help myself!!

I'm aware of his lower completion percentage and struggles in the intermediate and short game, but he was still thriving in a lot of other categories in terms of touchdowns, turnovers, third down and red zone numbers.

I'm not saying it's a huge drop-off, but both guys are downgrades. It's not really a hot take. One was our starter, for good reason, and the other two are backups. It's not a slight against either Trevor or Taysom.
Winston had a high TD rate and low turnover rate.

However, Winston also had a bad completion percentage and the Saints were bad on 3rd down with only 32 / 85, both of those lead to not being able to sustain drives consistently. Winston play looks great in highlight reels, but it's also part of the reason that the Saints have struggled to be consistently productive on offense.

It remains to be seen if Hill is a significant downgrade in productivity from Winston or not. None of us know the future, so none of us know if Hill will be a downgrade for the team's production.

Before any of that though, none of us even know yet how many games Hill might or might not start.

Let’s not be naive.

There most certainly is an “anyone but Jamies” crowd here, a few of its members are taking a victory lap right now over an injury to the starting QB, gross.

But there’s undeniably also an “anyone but Taysom” group, and they’re currently being very outspoken, with thinly veiled arguments against him. It’s sad.
It is an accurate reflection of our society as a whole

And that's the point I was making. I don't get into these debates but I have seen so many back and forth that I refused to get into. I am rooting for whoever starts.

Jameis on 3rd down was 32 / 85.......that is not thriving.

I didn't realize those numbers dropped that drastically after the Seattle game. Going into the bye he was 11th in 3rd down %.

I don’t think they can game plan even if they wanted to! I’m not sure we know what we are doing😀

Turner is practicing? Has anyone seen Davenport without his helmet today? Have anyone seen them together on Sunday? It seems like they are the same player who just switched his jerseys on Sunday.
The Saints probably didn’t have enough cap money for 53 so this is what Loomis came up with.

That is NOT my interpretation. There were specific posts stating that Hill was substituted in because Brees had a week arm and that with Winston's arm, Hill wasn't needed. And there were specific posts saying Hill was taking TDs away from Winston and Kamara. Not a lot, but some. No interpretation what-so-ever. But, I agree. That's not the majority. Some people see what they want to see.

I think some people would rather the Saints lose and be proven right than for the Saints to win and be proven wrong. What's crazy is that there seems to be no middle ground. If you say anything positive, you're just a fanboy. If you say anything negative, you're a hater. Not a whole lot of real constructive analysis, which is frustrating because it's difficult to have any serious discussions.

This I agree with. I've been critical of Taysom's game and vocal about thinking Trevor should get the start. But I'd love nothing more than Taysom to get the start and play up to his ceiling and prove me wrong.

Sadly, this is probly true. Only game Ricky Jackson missed was when he broke his cheekbone flipping his Corvette on Airline highway. Missed one game.
