If they had called it something else and no relate it to LOTR or hobbit. It would have faired better with some fans. But it appears they have little knowledge about the different races and some of the major characters. I find it a little entertaining, but it could be something much much better. For instance galadriel is so much more than a warrior.

Yeah, I agree. It's really not a LOTR series. If they just called it some adventure series, I don't think it draws much criticism. On the other hand, if they do that, they end up with fewer viewers overall.

It's certainly not your typical run of the mill SW series, but it's certainly a Star Wars feeling Star Wars. I wouldn't call it the least, not by a long shot.

And we learned you don't need those things necessarily to have a SW feeling show.

Regardless, this is part of the larger SW universe. So while we might not see it in an episode or season, we know the before and after of the story.

They would tell you that it is LoTR "for a modern audience".
It is kind of telling thought that Youtubers had millions of people hating the show before it even aired. The power of Youtube!

BTW I pretty much hate this show. Mostly because of Galadriel but the rest of it is pretty lame too. There were a couple episodes that weren't terrible. That's as close to praise as I can get.
