Marquez Callaway (1 Viewer)

The 1st TD he was being mugged and still caught the ball
In his second (one-handed) TD catch the defender also draped him before the ball got there.
He just figured out a way to get his free arm to the football and make a tremendous catch! :9:

I still want CGM in a Saints uniform...but I could envision Callaway as a #1. And if he is...do you really need to pay CGM at his current price? That's really the question. But of course you want both if you can have both.

I really just don't get it. I'm excited about Callaway because I think he has the potential to be a very good player for us, who would complement CGM. He hasn't had a full regular season yet, he has to stay healthy. It's rather obvious that he can play, I thought so last year but he has to contribute over a full season, we will see....

My comp between Callaway and D-Hop was obviously one of "style of play" - and not a direct comparison of production, projection, or literally anything else that would pit an unproven / undrafted guy against a top 5 WR.... Geez. Some of your guys just want to argue for the the sake of argument.

His game reminds me a little of Reggie Wayne.

I thought it was a great comparison. There style of play is very similar. It has a lot do do with the contested catches. Callaway caught 2 TDs on Monday night that many current NFL WRs couldn't catch.

You are right about people getting worked up over nothing. They are almost as sensitive as MT.

I think they can coexist. Callaway in MT's old X role and MT in the Y roaming the middle. That's a nasty combination that CSP can use to exploit opposing defenses with Winston's arm.

Killed me in fantasy. He was my sleeper I was going to take late. Now I probably have to take him in the 6-8 range

Umm not quite unless your league is all Saints fans. Probably more like round 9-11 as a WR4.

No argument here! You're STILL "A Towel!". Me? I'm more a Mantequilla fan!

This may be one of the greatest “I called it“ threads I’ve ever seen on the forum.

I think Callaway has a chance to be a very special wr, I see a lot of Adams & Hopkins game in him. I know it’s way too early, but everytime he has had a chance in the offense he has made play after play. Hard not to get excited with him being Jameis’s #1 target besides Kamara.

Deandre Hopkins-
Height: 6’1
Weight: 212
40 dash: 4.57
Arms: 33 3/8
Hands: 10

Davante Adams-
Height: 6’1
Weight: 215
40 dash: 4.56
Arms: 32 5/8
Hands: 9

Marquez Callaway-
Height: 6’2
Weight: 204
40 Dash: 4.55
Arms: 32 3/8
Hands 9 3/8

I can see more Adams that Hopkins in Calloway but judging these measurable a and style of play these two players are probably the closet you get to envisioning who he may be compared to once he carves out his name in this offense and the league takes notice.

If only we had taken Marquez in the seventh round - then we would all know he was going to be a star!
No one drafts superstar receivers in the 7th rd like the saints.
And to think I never thought we'd ever get better value in that round than Eric Martin.
