Meanwhile Sean Payton is Sean Paytoning in Denver {Thread from September Bumped } (5 Viewers)

Yeah and that may be the truth but it is in the way it is said. When you say it like that it is less disrespectful than the op did it. Just my opinion . Drew was a huge part of what went on in NO we all knew it. I think if he had another QB like a Burrow he could do it.
If he got someone on that level then yes, he could be successful again, but I don't see it happening unless Nix is that guy and he doesn't ruin him in the rookie year.

That's the problem guys like Brees,Burrow,Brady are so rare. I always wondered if we would have drafted Lamar and let Brees go if he could have worked something out but that is hindsight.

Funny how when a coach or player leaves no what the terms of their departure all of the past achievements and all they have done for their franchise is just trashed for no good reason.

I did not remember seeing this type of opinion when we were winning he was a genius.
Lol, I use this argument all the time nice flip. I can’t speak for all but winning or not I consistently called him out for not running the ball consistently. I’m also not trashing him, pointing out that he hasn’t adjusted to what this league is now.

I mean, I don't think it's trashing Payton to say that he didn't adjust his offense to account for the loss of his Hall of Fame QB or the fact that teams started to play different against his offense. It was no doubt dominant for more than 10 years. But, you have the adjust in the NFL and he didn't appear willing to do that. There is a reason why the constant refrain was "Run the ball Payton" for many years.

Good Riddance to that entire scheme. Rookie QB and I bet 75 cents he throws 40+ times this game.
All he did was put your team on the map as a viable place to win by winning a super bowl and putting together and 12- year competitive tenure as HC.

Yup, I'll always love CSP, he brought the Saints honest to goodness relevance, don't understand why folks have to criticize him or compare him, I'll always be grateful he was our coach for so long.....I'll still feel the same even if he flames out in Denver....

I can also be very excited that it appears Kubiak's system is working better than anyone could imagine.....40+ in 2 consecutive games is unbelievable....

I see it as disrespectful so we agree to disagree.

Yeah Kubiak has brought some excitement in his first two weeks.

I think his system works. But it's an overly complicated system that's not a player friendly system especially for young and new players who aren't familiar with the system. He needs the right driver and a Drew Brees isn't walking through that door.

He's going to have to figure out how to dumb down his system and still be effective or he won't last in Denver.

I love me some Sean Payton, but his system has to have so many pieces that aren't easy to find to work.

Kubiak/Shanahan system takes whatever you have and makes them look ridiculously good.
His system works with a completely manic HOF clutch QB.

Most systems do. Remember when Shan was as offensive genius with John Elway as the QB?

Absolutely. Payton’s system was perfect 20 years ago, but you have to evolve with the game. Instead, he is backsliding. It can only work with a guy like Brees.
It is hard not to many coaches that are as stubborn as Payton find it easy to rebuild a team from the ground up and succeed as they did in the past.
