Meanwhile Sean Payton is Sean Paytoning in Denver {Thread from September Bumped } (8 Viewers)

I’ll never discount SP and what he brought to the saints and he had a top notch offense but he also had Brees who hid a lot of deficiencies. Kubiak did this with Purdy and now with Carr. Let’s see how the season goes

You know what the irony is?

Payton let Kubiak go to San Francisco. He was on the Broncos staff when Payton took the job and he left 2 months later.

Oops.
Do you really think Payton would have ever handed the offensive play calling and scheming to anyone?

I know that Payton was the best thing that ever happened to the Saints when he was here but too many seasons were stubbornly (by Sean Payton) wasted by not fielding a defense that complimented the offense.

I know it's early in a very long season but this may be the best Saints team we've ever seen.

The numbers don't lie!

We finished the game the same way we started the game and that was that we ran the ball more than we threw the ball!

Very true, but it helps with the O-line scheme and Kamara. We tried to run it last year, but just couldn’t get it done.

But you know if Denver fires him.and he wants the HC job back, FO will take him back in a heartbeat.
I don't understand the dislike because this organization, Loomis, the Bensons will always have that loyalty to SP. I'm not saying I want him back. I honestly expressed my irritation with him after multiple 7-9 years. But that's what I worry could happen. The Broncos have a shorter leash than we did. They won't put up with three years of mediocrity.

I mean we saw that happen today. Dallas' only touchdown came on a grossly whiffed tackle because TOP at that point was grossly out of balance due to how fast the Saints were scoring. Mathieu ended up having to go to the locker room to get an IV because of how out of gas he was.

What did Kubiak do? Slowed the game down, started having 5 yard run plays and longer drives. Defense was able to get their legs back. Dallas then scored just two field goals the rest of the game.

And that shouldn’t have been a TD, but Mathieu whiffed on the tackle.

First two Broncos drives today were three-and-outs. They have four on the day now. They had seven three-and-outs last week.

Saints punter Matt Hayball has punted three times in two complete games.

You know what the P in Payton stands for?

It stands for “punt… after a three-and-out”
