[Merged] N/S- Henry Ruggs car accident in Vegas (update from old thread) (3 Viewers)

150+ on Rainbow Blvd??? How forking stupid is this guy? He's going to be doing closer to 20 years in prison cause he's got multiple felony charges in association with a death.
People do that on motorcycles constantly !
Rainbow is dead at 3am so it seems tempting I guess.
Hope the guy gets 20 years 👍

Yeah...but he was barely over the limit, not speeding or driving recklessly, and witnesses testified the pedestrian literally stepped out into traffic and courts ruled this played a significantly larger role...meaning even if Stallworth had nothing to drink, he still would have plowed into him.
Absolutely, didn’t mean to give the impression that I think it is one and the same, as I don’t. Just reminded me of that situation, fatality, car, wr……

.. it’s pure luck that i (and most of my friends) never got a DUI, or never killed anyone..

Sorry to quote myself, but i just realized that, becuase it happened so long ago- i completely forgot about a friend of mine, a really attractive girl (not that it matters) that i worked with on Bourbon St in my early 20s.. She was drinking and driving one night in Baton Rouge, and caused an accident that i believe (this was in the early 2000s so im fuzzy on the details ) i belive killed a mother and handicapped the daughter that were in the car.. She wound up serving prison time , i think a couple of years.. i haven’t seen or heard from her since, but i would be willing to bet she NEVER says ‘Oh I’ll just have one or two, it’ll be fine’… I’d be willing to bet that, if she even drinks any more, she probably arranges beforehand how she’ll get home, who will drive, Uber or whatever.. and so should we all… Sorry if i sound preachy but come tell me im preachy after your Mom or your kid gets maimed or killed some piece of **** who thought he was ‘okay to drive.’

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Burned alive while screaming, pinned in the car. She was 23 years old.

Is that true? Gosh, just awful.

With this information, it's hard to see how he gets the lesser offense - this is all very aggravated. A shame all around.

Yes, a security guard from a nearby apartment complex rushed to the crash immediately and later described the whole thing. Just totally horrific.

How do they determine the length of sentence? I mean what would qualify for a higher sentence than Ruggs right now?
