Mickey Loomis’ End Of Year Press Conference (1 Viewer)

I did not hear Loomis's mention of the other head coaches. But to compare Allen to Noll, Landry, and Belichick is absolutely insulting.

The reason Loomis gave for hiring Allen was continuity--that with Allen the team would continue playing at a fairly high level. Dennis Allen wasn't hired to rebuild a team.

Tom Landry began coaching an expansion team.

Chuck Noll took over historically the worst franchise in the NFL that had just experienced five straight losing seasons and that went 2-11-1 the year before.

Bill Belichick struggled in Cleveland and was rightfully discharged there.

Something aint right here. Im telling yall. I dont know exactly what. Medical, mental, in house stuff. I have no idea. It just looks abnormal watching that.

Something just isnt right. Theres no way he believes the words coming out of his own mouth. He knows he is selling a bag of.......something, and he KNOWS this fan base is too smart to buy it.

But, the whole thing, it just feels - off. The twitching. The aggravation.

Its going to be an absolute dumpster fire for the next 10-12 months. Enjoy it for what it is. To quote Fight Club "its only when youve lost everything that youre free to do anything".

And also quoting Jack Black in High Fidelity (who was quoting Cobain EDIT: Who was apparently quoting Neil Young) - Is it better to burn out or fade away? The Payton era shouldve faded away this season - it shouldve been the cap on a long run. Instead Mickey refuses to let go of the past and its going to be an absolute burn out. The dome, is going to have pitch forks out in ways we havent seen, ever.

It’s like the last season of a hit TV show where the majority of the cast is gone and it’s new characters.

He also was asked what he likes about DA as a HC and he really didn’t have much to say. Which was…concerning.
Not really, he is not taking the bate, reporters need something to report and Loomis and Company do not need the distractions of false reports and narratives to sell clicks and subscriptions.

Good riddance. They don’t want to be part of fixing issues let them find teams that suit their needs. We can’t continue with too many bosses not enough workers mentality.
Kamara and Lattimore have earned the right to chose. They have been model Saints and in Kamara’s case one of the best Saints this franchise has ever had.
