Mock Draft [Simulators] Compilation Thread - 2024 NFL Draft (3 Viewers)

Taliese Fuaga is an excellent pick in the 1st. I think it'll be between him and JC Latham, whichever of the two is still there.

They've got to go OT in the 1st.

I also think they'll double-dip on OL with the 2nd round pick. Someone versatile like Cooper Beebe. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they went with a TE instead.
Tali Fuaga is a true monster. His strength/power is already NFL level. No ones gonna bullrush that dude, & he’s arguably the best run blocker in this draft.

Fuaga & Kingsley Suamataia fr BYU are my fav OTs in this draft. Kingsley is who Penning was/is supposed to be. This guys the meanest player in the draft. Kingsley Is controlled rage. I love the way he plays.

In my opinion, one of Penning’s fatal flaws is his play strength. As bad as he is vs speed, that dude gets tossed up & punked way too much for my liking. He gets rocked by bullrushes & power moves, an issue Fuaga & Kingsley wouldnt really have due to the pure power both guys have coming in.
I like the Daniel Jeremiah mock with Bo Kix at 14.
“If” we actually do hire an OC from off the Shanny/Mcvay tree, Nix’s skillset would be the best fit for that O. JJ Mcarthy would also fit.

If Jayden is not there, thoughts on Brock Bowers the TE from Georgia? A TE is extremely valuable in the passing game and the Saints could use an upgrade at that position.
Look at the playoff teams they all have good to great TE. Kelce,Andrew's, LaPorta,Kettle bit of a trend. We have needs at other positions but,it would be foolish to not seriously consider picking Bowers. Answer me this. Would you give a #1 for prime J. Graham???

I really like Michigan's Qb at two .redshirt him and let him adjust to the nfl.

Yeah, I'd take Bowers if he was there. But he won't be. And no way I'd trade up.

We need tackles. If Fuaga or Latham is there, you gotta do it. We can get a good TE in the 2nd (I'm thinking about Ben Sinnott, Kansas St).

edit--
TE. Cade Stover or Ja'Tavion Sanders too. All should be available, and Saints could probably trade down to get two out of those three.

Yeah I think OT in the first is the way to go unless bowers is there. In my attempt somehow Maye fell, which would never happen realistically, so I had to grab him. Surprisingly Maye was not the pick recommended by the site. It suggested I select a CB, don’t remember who, but I just couldn’t pass on Maye.

No trades draft. Verse fell to 14 and none of the top OT were there except Latham who I've stayed away from......
Just out of curiosity, why have you stayed away from JC Latham? The guy's a 5-star blue chip beast. He's been the starter at Alabama since he was a true sophomore which is a pretty incredible feat.

I've seen him go top-10 in several mocks.

Is there something I don't know?

My second attempt. This time I ignored all trades. Daniels went first overall and the top 6 QBs all went in the top 24.

Edit: as for OT, Latham was first off the board at 13 and I went with Alt just because he was the highest rated. Is there a top OT besides him I should have considered?

Also there were two huge runs on TEs. Only 4th and 5th rounders left at 45 and only 7th rounders at 148. So that’s why I ignored TE even though it’s a position of need.

Michigan exposed him. Now, if that was just a bad day, okay, but if that was an indication of what's to come when he faces better talent, then I'm gonna pass.

I haven't seen anyone choose Michael Pratt from Tulane yet.
Even in the throw-away rounds.
I would take him before Bo Nix 7 days a week.
He's tough as nails. throws a great deep ball and ran that offense like well oiled machine.
I mean...what's not to like?

This one is, I think, my most Saints-like in terms of how I think they'd go given what was available. Will Shipley, for example, is a rock star prospect marred by injury concerns. The DL from Illinois is a guy who can play across the line, so is the situational lineman the Saints seem to want. And, of course, a player from Ohio State.

Zinter will not get past pick 135, he is a great pick if available anywhere after Saints second pick....I am hoping we trade down a few picks, to get third and fourth round pics, some real value in those rounds.

I see what you mean. He also got hurt on that last play. I didn't know that.

Well we'll see. It's too early to clamp down on any players. The Combine hasn't even happened yet. We'll get lots of new information before the draft.

I'm not ruling him completely out just yet. But man Fuaga looks like the guy to get.
