Take away winning a Super Bowl with a team Tony Dungy built and Gruden has done nothing as a HC to warrant his cult following among Saints fans.

Vrabel and Flores both have better career w/l records, don’t have multiple DUIs (like Gruden) and neither are idiotic enough to use their company email to share racist and bigoted statements.

Yet, some fans would crawl through glass to take Gruden over either of those guys. It’s funny to see.

If we’re gonna consider Gruden, might as well throw Jim Mora’s name in the mix, Mora has a higher win %.

He adopted pretty good rosters on the teams he went to, won a few games early on, then proceeded to destroy the rosters over the next few seasons. He's got a career .500 winning percentage. Be a hard pass from me.

Gruden ain't it. His time has passed. His second stint in Oakland was a bit of a disappointment. Yes, the team was getting better, but at its peak it was fighting tooth and nail for a wild card. Oakland was also such a disaster after Dennis Allen that it couldn't really get any worse. Jack Del Rio made it much better and somehow Gruden came in and made it worse and struggled to make the team compete for a wild card spot. I just can't see another Super Bowl appearance with Jon Gruden as Head Coach. But Stranger Things have also happened, so..
