My guess: Caitlin & Angel will garner co-Rookie of the Year honors (2 Viewers)

I hate Luka's whining but I would trade Zion and BI and a few1st rounders for him.

anyway - they aren't close (rn)

Averaging 7.6 assists on a bad team in which you’re also the best shooter is impressive.

Reese coming in at .419 FG percentage makes me go with Clark. Reese is a PF averaging 12 rebounds per game, so she should be getting better looks and shooting a higher percentage.

Maybe in the long run, Reese has more potential, but for right now it’s not close.

NY put an end to Reese’s streak - not too often you see a quadruple team LOL

16 REB though.

A week or so ago someone broke down CC’s turnovers, and her turnovers were like many of Drew Brees’ ints., many times they were the fault of the teammates for not catching the ball, more than poor ball placement.

Damn, she needs some help, lol. Gotta catch those passes.

Actually, I think it is the opposite.....I think Reese is having the better year but that CC has much bigger upside.....once she gets those turnovers under control, assimilates to the speed of the game, I think she has the potential to be one of the top 3 players in the league eventually....

.I think Reese is having the better year
We were discussing this on the LSU forum thread. The one thing I will give credit to Angel for is she worked to change her game to the pro level and she's benefiting from it.

There was a video pre-draft where SAS was talking about how Angel was going to struggle in the league because she was too one-dimensional. Then they showed a video of her working with a trainer on her outside shot and he kindly shut his mouth.

Reese's game, which is mostly the dirty work under the basket, rebounds, tips/put backs and her physicality translates quicker to success in the league IMO.....I'm sure she is working to expand it, but most of the highlights I've seen are her doing the same thing she did in college, relentless rebounder.....

CC's game is more all encompassing as she is a primary ballhandler, along with being a scorer, team's best passer....etc....she has a bit more on her plate and her game is going to take longer to fully come around.....her ceiling is higher IMO.....

The only thing is CC already immensely skilled up. So where is she going to improve?
She could get stronger but she seems to be better using her speed instead of her strength to get to her spot.

I'm not denying that. I was speaking specifically about Reese's game.

Literally everywhere.....cutting down on the mistakes/turnovers is probably her primary focus (I'm willing to bet that she knows she leads the WNBA in turnovers and being the competitor she is it probably doesn't sit well with her)....improving her shooting percentage.....The part of her game that is shining right now is her passing/court vision.....that part of her game is elite and I feel the other parts will become elite in time as she works on improving them....

She could be more efficient, but that will come when she has better, more consistent play from the rest of the team. She will get more open looks and wont have to force as much.
I still think Reese has a higher ceiling if she just improves her jump shot.

That's cool but being a CC/Reese thread I've been addressing both in most of my posts....
You do you, but that shouldn't be a requirement to contribute.

In fact, I think that's part of the problem with this perceived rivalry between them. Folks (not particularly you) got to throw one or the other out in the conversation as if they can't exist without one another.

The Fever's coach is awful. There's noticable confusion, tension and arguing on the court. The complaints have been all season. Here's the latest.

I'm in Indiana, but the Chicago television market. I watch both teams. I prefer the Fever. The Sky seem to want to be the 90's Detroit Pistons.
It definitely seems to be an issue.

FWIW CC set the all time record for turnovers in today’s game. But also leads rhe WNBA in assists and is the only rookie to ever average 15/5/5.

Worth remembering we are seeing the worst pro version of both players. They both will get better. And in CCs case she might get a better coach too.
