NFL Scouting Combine: Feb 27–Mar 2 (11 Viewers)

That tight end list is missing some prospects which leads me to believe that the other lists are incomplete as well. I wonder why NFL.com left them off?

Who are the prospects you’re looking for?

That’s not the complete list; just the ones that could fit on my phone screenshot.

It could be that they’re rated lower than you would expect.

Thank you! That's what I suspected and said as much in the Jeanty versus Warren discussion .The grade between Jeanty and other RBs is just so big that the value has be recognized in taking him if you have the opportunity and taking a WR or TE later. That's in contract to taking a WR/TE first than going get a RB later. Adding to that, the grades of WR, while all close together, they are higher as a positional group, suggesting that value could be had there later on should the Saints miss on the top WRs in the group in the first round.

Well, that's what I meant. To be more explicit, I highly doubt there isn't a significant portion of the league who will end up having a 1st round grade on Cam Ward.

Yep. We already know that some Saints scouts have a first round grade on Ward. They even talked to the Titans about moving up to #1 to draft him. You don't do that if you don't have a high first round grade on the guy. And I'm sure there are many more scouts with a first round grade on Ward too.

This guy sure gets a lot of play here for a day 3 prospect that’s like the 10th rated back in the draft according to several publications.

I mean, I like the player, but there is an obsession here about this player as if he’s like the second or third best back in the draft or something.

I mean, not to pick on you here, but you went and grabbed the 9th guy listed on the NFL.com ranking list in Skattebo to compare him to Jeanty.

It’s just funny to me how this guy is looked at as some sort of potential great hope savior around here lol.

You're completely missing the point.

If you draft Jeanty that's going to require you to use your 9th overall 1st round pick.

If a guy like Skattebro gives you 70% of what Jeanty does and you can grab him in the 4th, that means you can use your 9th overall pick on someone else in a bigger position of need.

This is part of the reason RBs are devalued so much high in the draft. The Giants drafted Tracy with the 166th pick in the draft and he gave them over 1100 yards from scrimmage. 100 yards less than Barkey in 2023 whole having a higher ypc.

2023 Barkley: 1242 yards from scrimmage. 3.9 ypc
2024 Tracy: 1123 yards from scrimmage, 4.4 ypc

You can't look at that and tell me you can't see the value problem with selecting a RB high vs later in the draft.

I only mention him because he is always the go-to name everyone points out. Nothing more, nothing less.

It’s just funny to me how this day 3 prospect is so consistently mentioned.

I don’t look at RB stats as the main indicator of value, sorry.

Teams draft backs high when it is warranted, but I guess I should say they’re all wrong, 100% every single time, because some dude named Whodat!drewdat on SR says so. lol
