NFL Scouting Combine: Feb 27–Mar 2 (121 Viewers)

Zy Alexander ran a 3.8 forty breaking the combine record by .41 seconds!!!!!

I'm joking. Something is wrong with the timer at the Combine. Makes you wonder at the accuracy of all the numbers this year.

Runs today...

This guy sure gets a lot of play here for a day 3 prospect that’s like the 10th rated back in the draft according to several publications.

I mean, I like the player, but there is an obsession here about this player as if he’s like the second or third best back in the draft or something.

I mean, not to pick on you here, but you went and grabbed the 9th guy listed on the NFL.com ranking list in Skattebo to compare him to Jeanty.

It’s just funny to me how this guy is looked at as some sort of potential great hope savior around here lol.

40 times for all positions should be in full uniforms.

That’s how they will perform on the field.
I’ve been reading that 40 times aren’t all that important to evaluators now. Yes the 40 can confirm that a player is indeed explosive, but they have more accurate ways of measuring that now. They can clock a guy’s mph in a game and that’s what is going to show up on Sunday.

What he runs is the difference between being picked in the 3rd round or 7th...
It just interest me.
I like the way he plays the game.

Don't worry, his hype won't overshadow the Jeanty hype.

On a more serious note, I don't see Skattebo as a RB in the NFL so I don't think it's a fair comparison. I think he's a bit of a throwback H-Back/FB that you can use to run the ball at times, to block, and in the pass game. I'm not sure that he fits in Moore's scheme, but I think he has some versatility that can be used. If he can run good numbers in the 40 and in the agility drills then it would help to confirm that versatility at the NFL level. He's a mid-round pick either way, but he's a interesting prospect.
