NFL Scouting Combine: Feb 27–Mar 2 (50 Viewers)

Non-factor. Just creates a bowling ball effect; explains his balance and leverage prowess.

He’ll be alright.

He's not Barry Sanders. Doesn't have that level of quickness and agility. Almost nobody does. And Barry played 27 years ago. Defenders have gotten much bigger while also getting much quicker and faster since then.

Isn’t that about the same size as Mark Ingram? If he’s a more explosive Ingram sign me up.
About the same size, little bit smaller all around.

Also not sure if he's more or less explosive than Ingram. Probably the same explosiveness.

I'm not saying he won't be.

If he's to be successful he will be an anomaly. There's not many RBs under 5'9 and on the slower side that have been incredibly successful in the NFL.

Again he definitely could be the outlier.

Jeanty’s cuts to me seem a little cleaner. Maybe the two have similar explosiveness, but Jeanty seems to be quicker and smoother, but that’s just an opinion. Don’t have anything objective to back that up.

Before I pick him at 9, I want his 40 time.
Speed in college is different than speed in the NFL.

His weight means more than his 40 time. I was hoping he'd be 215/216 as that's the ideal number, but at 5'8" 208lbs, he has good density. Good thing is he can probably get there fairly easy.

He's my favorite back in the draft, but I prefer backs over 215lbs.

I mean without running a 40, anyone that has watched Jeanty knows he’s not “on the slower side”. The guy is undoubtedly explosive and clocked as fast as 21.7 mph this past season. There’s also plenty of very good RB’s 5’9” and under both currently and in years past.

Jeanty is undoubtedly more explosive than Ingram ever was. Nothing against Ingram, but Jeanty has shown he can pull away from DB’s Ingram never really did so. Loves Ingram bit in college and for the Saints, but Jeanty is different.

There's absolutely a reason he's not running the 40. He's probably a 4.6 guy (Mark Ingram speed). Which IMO does not matter and RB speed is pretty overrated but he's definitely not what I would consider "fast" for a RB.

The list of pro bowl level RBs under 5'9 with a 4.55-4.6 40 is not that long. I'd imagine it's maybe a few. Which again is fine because he's such an anomaly.
