What the hell are you talking about?

People just make up sheet they think is true and then post it. DA isn't Loomis' yes man, he's a bad football coach. It has nothing to do with Loomis controlling him.

Our depth is bad due to bad drafts and that is the fault of the scouting staff and Ireland. But frankly, that has gotten better the last year or so and it's not really so much that we don't have depth, it's that the coaching is bad and the depth we have are not prepared to play.

There's a lot more wrong with this team than the head coach and I know you're naive enough to think Allen is making front office decisions.

Loomis decides who we draft, who we sign and contracts. Scouting staff and Ireland do the leg work and have a lot of input later in the draft and UDFA but the buck stops at Loomis.

We could have signed a lot of depth with the $45 million in dead cap we're carrying this year. Hell we could have signed a legit starting guard and then some. Instead we we're forced to go bargain shopping for Patrick with nothing but disappointing low round draft picks backing him up. We couldn't even sign a tackle with starting experience to compete with Penning during TC with the loser serves as a swing tackle. We're lucky as hell Penning was up to the challenge and that somehow our two tackles are the only men left standing on offense. Imagine how bad we'd be if we got last year's Penning as our defacto starting RT. There's simply not enough talent behind the starters to "coach up" much less compete at an NFL level.

Please fire Allen but let's take a second and actually acknowledge that they're coming in handicapped and until our other problems are solved, we shouldn't expect an instant turn around.

That's why Loomis has to be removed from his GM position. Make Loomis' seat too hot to sit in, and get a new GM. The HC will be collateral damage...a 2-fer-1. Not sure I want Loomis picking the next HC. Loomis doesn't have personnel skills, he has accounting skills. I want a PERSONNEL guy picking Saints players. Loomis caught lightning in a bottle with CSP, and lightning rarely (if ever) strikes the same place twice, especially if there's no "rod" to attract the lightning.

When Loomis hasn't done what has been needed to be done, and only offering platitudes as to why he hasn't, then Loomis is failing to do his job as much as DA is failing at the HC job. Since DA isn't doing his job; and Loomis isn't doing his job; someone above Loomis needs to do THEIR job. FIRE LOOMIS!

Yes, after watching Olave our "WR1" go in and out of the locker room to be repeatedly checked out, wondering if he'll get up after every hard hit and hoping he'll catch the ball with contact, it's time to get a legit WR1 in the building. A true X with size and playmaking ability.

The light at the end of the tunnel is that Loomis is 67. He can't keep doing this much longer, a promotion to a less stressful role seems like the ideal move to save face for him and for the good of the franchise.

If Gayle Benson wants to pay Loomis $10m/yr to walk her dog I’m fine with it. I just don’t want him hurting the Saints anymore. He and Allen have taken this franchise backwards 25 years to the bag head days.

They'll never fire Loomis. He'll either retire or Gayle/Lauscha will promote him or something. Until that happens, he's the GM. It is what it is. He's 67, so there's a possibility he could retire sooner than later. We'll see.

Every facet of this organization is bad. From the hands off owner that left the team in the hands of what looks like morons who decided to give a leash way too long to a loser coach who has only proven he's a loser.
