My money still says ML gives DA at least 2 seasons AFTER the cap is fixed so that ML can “properly evaluate” his abilities as a HC with a better cap situation….

And this makes me very sad.

ML is never gonna fix the cap situatiin to begin with. The Only way that ever gets fixed is if we rid of HIM.

DA brought in The honeybadger. And it has been honeybadger who has majorly blown I two consecutive games. That’s DA’s guy and he let him down. Make a play dude make a play!!

If ML wants us to "look beyond the HC for the underlying issues", then I'm looking squarely at the GM who tweaked the cap so tight that it'll take 3 years to untie the knot. Every reason to retain DA is a corollary that DA has been handicapped by a situation that ML as the GM created. Fine....replace the GM.

While we're at it, let's look beyond MLs record as GM, and examine the underlying reasons for his success/failure. What's MLs record as Saints GM without CSP? I know the answer, but was actually shocked to learn it. MLs tenure as GM has included stints with Haslett, CSP, and DA. It's pretty obvious that ML is pretty consistent pre-CSP and post-CSP. Seems like the CSP years are the anomaly. Who thinks ML can catch lightning in a bottle 2x?

IMO, it's more likely that a new guy catches lightning for the 1st time, than the existing guy catches it twice. Loomis is now the problem, and DA is just a symptom. IMO...

Yep. That’s the entire crux of the problem we have. It’s not players, or play calling, or injuries, or coordinators, or draft picks, or cap space…. It’s belief, leadership, culture, attention to detail and accountability.

I was done with him after one season because it was easy to see, for me at least, that the latter just isn’t there with him at the top.

I haven't been excited about a season since 2022. 2023, I somewhat followed the camp hype but didn't believe any of it. This year I didn't follow anything camp wise.
