Nick Underhill: Saints Might Not Move on from DA (2 Viewers)

I'll keep saying it. It's an ownership and upper management issue. Ownership sees fans buying merch and sold out suites and seats etc etc. They don't have to change anything and fans will keep doing what they do... The story will be unprecedented injuries look at when we were healthy and now we get a high draft pick and the spinning will start and they will build hype in the fan base and the cycle repeats itself

If we continue to lose this season, and yet DA is retained, I won’t pay for the YouTube NFL package next year and won’t bother watching a single Saints game. I used to go to a couple games a year in the Dome (a six hour drive each way for me), but I won’t spring for that expense ever with DA at the helm.
I didn’t go to the Saints/Chargers game this year and it really bummed me out. I only get to see the team once a year if I’m lucky. I noticed all the empty seats on tv and I guarantee you 10-15k Saints fans would have filled those seats if the team even seemed half way decent and not so hopeless. DA is not only killing the fan base in NO, he’s bumming out Saints fans all over the Country.

Last year I went to the Rams/Saints game at Sofi and my section was directly under Gayle’s owner seats. I hope that she at least noticed the thousands of less Saints fans who didn’t make the trip to see our beloved team this go around.

The FO/highest ups clearly do not respect the fan base. It's sad.
I am fine letting him finish out the season because it's our best bet at premium draft capital.
But we can in no way, shape or form allow for this madness to continue next season. It's tantamount to insanity at this point.

if the Saints fail to have a miraculous turnaround this season and fail to make the playoffs - which is all but a certainty - how can you justify keeping Allen?

It can’t be sold to free agents and it sure as hell can’t be sold to the fans - who are already staying away from the Dome in droves - and it’s only late October.

If ML wants us to "look beyond the HC for the underlying issues", then I'm looking squarely at the GM who tweaked the cap so tight that it'll take 3 years to untie the knot. Every reason to retain DA is a corollary that DA has been handicapped by a situation that ML as the GM created. Fine....replace the GM.

While we're at it, let's look beyond MLs record as GM, and examine the underlying reasons for his success/failure. What's MLs record as Saints GM without CSP? I know the answer, but was actually shocked to learn it. MLs tenure as GM has included stints with Haslett, CSP, and DA. It's pretty obvious that ML is pretty consistent pre-CSP and post-CSP. Seems like the CSP years are the anomaly. Who thinks ML can catch lightning in a bottle 2x?

IMO, it's more likely that a new guy catches lightning for the 1st time, than the existing guy catches it twice. Loomis is now the problem, and DA is just a symptom. IMO...
Pretty much

Nope...imma be a Chiefs fan. I want to celebrate a SB win again
I don't like how this season is going but i will not stop being a fan. All i can do is hope for better times and be grateful for the fact that i lived long enough to see the saints become one of the better teams and actually win a Super Bowl.Until they straighten this mess out all i can do is suffer and give them my love and support the saints are my family in the good times and the bad.
