Nick Underhill: Saints Might Not Move on from DA (1 Viewer)

I am not ever a root against my own team sort of guy.. but man.. am I really going to have to hope that we lose and look like garbage from here on out in order to make the situation so untenable for the organization that they're finally forced to fire him?

Dude has got to go.. he is a drag on the franchise.
Every other team would of fired him already. I don't think firing him would give the Saints a bad look. There are 2 and half years of RESULTS that I can't look past.

That is plenty amount of time.

Yep. That’s the entire crux of the problem we have. It’s not players, or play calling, or injuries, or coordinators, or draft picks, or cap space…. It’s belief, leadership, culture, attention to detail and accountability.

I was done with him after one season because it was easy to see, for me at least, that the latter just isn’t there with him at the top.
I saw it too. That 1st season wasn't the "continuity" DA was hired to preserve. But even CSP threw up a 7-9 stinker every so often, so I understood giving DA a 2nd bite at the apple, even if i disagreed with it. But I was honestly shocked he was retained for a 3rd season, and at this point, everything I'm hearing from the GM has me slackjawed....feeling like I'm in some bizarro world of a Twilight Zone episode.

I know what I'm seeing, and I know what I'm hearing, and the disconnect is so obvious to me. It's like Baghdad Bob proclaiming that the Iraqi forces have repelled the invasion of the infidels, even though you can feel the rumble of American tanks rolling through the city while he's saying it?! I feel like I'm being lied to purposefully....gaslighted..but can't understand WHY? Keep doing what you're doing, and keep saying what you're saying....but there is NO WAY I'm going to be convinced that what I'm seeing is okay?! It's not, and honestly, MLs continued insistence that I'm not seeing what I know I saw is making me question HIS sanity?!!!!

If we continue to lose this season, and yet DA is retained, I won’t pay for the YouTube NFL package next year and won’t bother watching a single Saints game. I used to go to a couple games a year in the Dome (a six hour drive each way for me), but I won’t spring for that expense ever with DA at the helm.

We were the most pessimistic fan base coming into this garbage season lol.. hmm Wonder why that was

It's actually sort of interesting that Dallas is right down there at the bottom too as we have sort of a similar-ish GM situation in Loomis here.

I believe that this is clickbait by the writer. It’s hard to move product when the team is bad, so he created a headline that a starving consumer would eat up.

This reminds me of Adam Schefter dropping the Aaron Rodgers story in the middle of the draft a few years ago, even though there was no new news regarding Aaron Rodgers being traded. A few days later he was on the Dan Patrick show and he admitted that he made up the entire thing.

I mean he literally stole everything he said from my posts history.... so he owes me some cheddar j/k.... but seriously.... his interpretation of everything is pretty much exactly what I've been saying. He was asked a question and he answered it...

I was done with him after the Bengals game his first season... which I think was around week 6, give or take. It's been painfully obvious how unequipped he is to lead a locker room. He's literally the same dude since. Zero growth.

I figured as much, unfortunately.

Saints aren't winning Rams, GB, Wash, Atlanta, Cleveland. Tampa Bay is probably a toss up with Godwin out, Evans really never killed the Saints but Godwin sure did.
They have good chances vs Carolina, Raiders, Giants.

5-12, 6-11 or 7-10 at best.

If Jayden Daniels is healthy for that game, that is the absolute worst match up possible for the Saints. I think Jameis and Chubb cooks DA's defense.

It’s important to note that Underhill didn’t report anything. He just gave his opinion.
Even in his pod a few days ago, he said the same thing but everything can change so quickly.
