Note: To all of you Bush Haters...

Yes, you do fail. Quite often.

Compare him to the only bust RB on the list, Blair Thomas. He's outperformed Thomas in 2 fewer years.

But don't let facts mess with your irrationality.

What facts! He is not better than Jones-Drew heck White has even topped the 1000 yard mark while drunk! Just look at his draft class.

What does he have in common with Thomas? Both are Hurt all the time!

This is a comparison of #2 overall picks, nothing else. If you can't stick to that, it just tells me you know what I posted is right.

That same offense also has multiple guys who cut into each other's TD numbers. I'm sure that also has no effect.

Considering the above average number of touchdowns the Saints offense scores compared to the rest of the league, this shouldn't come as a surprise. The point remains that Bush's opportunities are based upon the offenses success and not vice-versa. This is clearly demonstrated by our offense not skipping a beat whenever Bush misses a game with one of his varying injuries

He also doesn't even get many goalline carries so his TDs are coming from plays outside the 5.

I don't see how length of the touchdown is relevant. If you're trying to convince me Reggie is explosive, I don't need convincing... clearly he is. What he lacks is decision making and toughness, which I'll take over explosiveness any day.

But it's good to know he doesn't help at all. Trade him for a case of soda!

Why bother? RC is the best we could get in return.

Most teams don't have 5-6 guys competing for TDs like we do. It works both ways.

TD length matters because it's obviously much easier to score from inside the 5 than from the 30. If he doesn't get touches inside the 5, his TD numbers will be lower due to not getting the easier opportunities. That means his TDs are tougher to get. If he got goalline touches like most RBs, he'd have even more TDs.

Jerome Bettis led the Steelers in TDs in 2005, but he was basically nothing but a goalline back that year. Just having more TDs doesn't make a player better; it depends on how he gets them. Bush usually has to score from 10+ yards out.

"Length matters because it's obviously much easier to score."

If it is any consolation, I agree. :)

Okay, on this note can we swith subjects?

I'll be pulling for Reggie to score 3 touchdowns. But guess what, if he chokes (again) I'll be calling a spade a spade. Reggie needs to light it up Sunday. This team is tailor made for him!

I hate people that make excuses for Bush no matter what he does. If he runs a punt back for a touchdown, I'm happy. If he runs for four or five yards, I'm happy.

If he fumbles a punt, or dances around and gets stuffed, I'm not.

You know why? Because I'm a SAINTS fan. Not a BUSH fan.

That is the difference. Some of you are Bush fans over the rest of the team. I don't give a damn about his stats. I want the NEW ORLEANS SAINTS to win.

So if you want to try and jump me in the stands because I'm mad when he screws up after three seasons in the NFL then bring it on. I've probably been a Saints fan longer than most of you Bush fanatics have been alive.

The team matters, not individual players.

Do you act the same way when other people on the team mess up? If so, I have no problem with people the act the way you do. If you don't, that exemplifies what people mean when they call someone a hater.

I have morons in my section who make excuses for every player on our team that makes a mistake, except Bush. Those are the people I, and most who agree with me, have a problem with.

I'm sure it doesn't help AT ALL that Reggie plays in footballs greatest offense 3 years running. No chance that could EVER effect his TD totals, right?

The TD's are fools gold. Of course he has alot of them. His offense is constantly at the goal line, no thanks to him.

LOL.

What a freakin joke. You know how many yards Bush would have gotten if he had the same number of carries as White that year? The exact same!!!! Both averaged 3.7 YPC, but White was somehow better.:smilielol:

Also, Bush has gained 1000 more yards from scrimmage as White in the same time. That's a terrible and really uninformed post.

You made that too easy.:9:

I am one of the biggest saints fans and i have only missed 1 home game since being in the U.S. since 2000 and that includes katrina. and i cant stand reggie but that doesnt mean im a bad fan, but yes if he scores i will be excited and slapping hands because the saints scored..not reggie

I am sick of people saying, "If you boo Reggie you are a fairweather fan". It is every fan's right to boo if they so choose, and when a player makes boneheaded plays. They pay to go to the game just like everyone else.
as has been repeatedly said, nobody is disputing a paying customer's *right* to boo or scream or cry or vomit or whatever... but it's my (and others') right to call you a bandwagon fan, cause that's what you are... did you boo brees when he started 1 TD, 9 INTs in '07? if not, why not? he was yippy in the pocket, his passes were into double coverage, he was really bad... but i'd never *boo* him for that... did you boo the team when they lost to the bears in '06? why not?

the only time i'd boo a saint, and it hasn't happened yet (maybe i just wasn't at the game when it did), is if someone's performance was due to a lack of effort... to boo someone who works hard and actually tries to be the best he can be is just wrong imo
