Lankford's is good, but not the best.

I find Christian's Totem is better.

I go to Houston frequently - where are these places?

As an aside, is the Katz deli in Houston truly a branch of the one in New York? Does it compare?

Ok ok ok....... I'm going to look at Buds Broiler website and see what the excitement is about.

EDIT Addition: Ok, I looked and it looks pretty good ! I'd have to get the #6 and a large fry.

AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH

I do not know what a #6 is, and it does not matter. #4 double patty with smoke sauce is all you need. getting anything less than #4 (you can still go single patty) is not doing BB justice,

I completely forgot about Ward's. The best chili-cheeseburger and root beer. Whenever I see one, I gotta get two Lil' Ones and a root beer float.

I've eaten great burgers all over, but the place that always comes to mind when I think of the best burger I've ever eaten was at a hotel in Natchez, MS called the Eola Hotel. Man, they have/had a good burger.

Not even close for me. Lankford's blows everyone away. I've tried all the places that get recommended in Houston (inlcuding Christian's), and I still like Lankford's the best. I actually found Christian's disappointing when I went there.

buzd--Lankford's is located at 88 Dennis Street, just a bit outside of downtown Houston.

*Edit*--If you go on Wednesday, get the Enchilada plate. Dear God that is good. If you go with someone else, one of you get the full order and one get the half. The full order has 3 enchiladas and the half order only one (then you can give one to the other person--two is perfect). Three is too much, and you will be in a coma not long after eating.

No, it's not. It's a branch of the chain started in Austin.
