And I'm cool if he is the qb for the rebuild. But acknowledge that it's a rebuild

I can’t help but to feel that this game would have a completely different outcome if all our starters were playing today. But knowing how far we still are from being legit, I realize that the outcome of this game is really for the best.

I was about to say that this game is worse than watching a high school JV game. I take that back, this is like watching 8th graders try to play and reminds me of the decade+ of horrible football from the 70/80's prior to Jim Mora.

Rattler wouldn't clear waivers much less be on a practice squad to be signed. If you don't see a young QB with worlds of potential that played a pretty good game despite no help from those around him, I don't know what to tell you.
Potential , yes, worlds. That’s a stretch.

That wasn't football. And neither is this.

I’ve seen a lot of better backup qbs this season. If Rattler gets better he could become a decent backup qb, right now he wouldn’t be better than a third string project on any team, and every team has a player like that that they carry on their teams. Remember he was third string behind Haener, that should tell you all you need to know.

Folks still think he can be "coached up".

He can't. The whole QB position is about slowing the game down thru understanding defense and knowing your offense. He doesn't show either at this point. Moreover, when the lane to get 5 yards is there, he hesitates. By time he decides, it's closed. That's NFL.

Works in NCAA not here.

Which just adds to the pressure he feels

You realize he's a rookie QB playing with one NFL quality WR and a bad offensive line, right? I'm honestly at a loss to understand how people don't see that Rattler has a lot of potential. Yes, he has a lot of work to do, but every rookie QB does.

Thank goodness Bowers isn’t in the NFC South…he could have a HOF career playing us twice every season.

Yes, and those backup QBs were not rookies playing with no weapons and no offensive line.

Dennis Allen had him 3rd string. Do you really trust anything DA decided?

Nothing they haven't seen before. Fan's will get hype during the draft and a 1 min off season highlight reel during a practice
Not to mention that the real diehards will be buying every bit of the hype of the newly hired head coach.

The fans better accept the three years that it’s going to take for the rebuild no matter who ends up signing the dotted line.
