Official game day thread: Raiders @ Saints 12/29/24 (4 Viewers)

This whole mess is on him now. The Saints the past two weeks have not fielded an NFL team. Not one person playing today other than a couple O line guys should be even starting a game
I had both on but fell asleep. lol

I’m always a Saints fan first tho. 😊
I'm bout to take a nap myself

He was to be a mobile QB. Escapeability. Outside the first designed play, he simply has no clue. He doesn't recognize defensive fronts and had accuracy issues. Very hot n cold when it comes to his accuracy. Not a trait you build around.

He was 5th round for a reason. 31 other teams passed him up for 4 previous rounds.
Right and people actually believe he would be taken from our practice squad.

No need to look it up, It hasn't been good... Who Dat!
Rank 20th and that’s w/ out todays results factored in. For me, that’s not players, that’s design.

Oddly enough I’ve been wary of the scheme a bit since JT O’Sullivan reviewed Rattlers pre-season game and he kept saying some of the things in this scheme didn’t make sense and that he wasn’t a fan of it.

This is what I’ve been curious about. I said from the day they first started him a couple months back, what makes him different from say, a guy like Desmond Ridder? Why is Rattler looked at as this massive upside when what he seems to struggle with are pretty major things for an NFL QB.

Is McCoy playing today? Who is changing line calls when they show a bad look up front? Are they expecting the rookie QB to do that?

Why don’t they have simple hot routes? I will not be sad to see Kubiak leave. He hasn’t been awful and injuries have upset all by the original plans, but his plans mostly don’t work after the scripted plays are done.

He absolutely has ball location issues have seen that from him since college but I think an offseason of coaching dedicated to breaking his bad footwork can help that.

His platform under pressure gets spotty

Agree. He can make every throw. It’s sloppy mechanics and playing behind a horrible IOL is a recipe for developing bad habits.

I think he has potential and needs more reps. DA made the right choice in Rattler over Haener.

They need to just admit they are rebuilding.

I know that term may scare players away, but it does not mean you're starting from scratch. Just the way you used to win will not be the same going forward.

Agree. If you admit you are in rebuild, the character of the team becomes the underdog and adopted by everyone. Once everyone is on same page, then you get continuity. You win by scrapping it out until you get pieces in place to start morphing the identity.

And Kool aid can see pavement this off-season wasted pick. Terrible awareness these last 5 weeks
