Official game day thread: Raiders @ Saints 12/29/24 (3 Viewers)

You realize he's a rookie QB playing with one NFL quality WR and a bad offensive line, right? I'm honestly at a loss to understand how people don't see that Rattler has a lot of potential. Yes, he has a lot of work to do, but every rookie QB does.

Who is the quality NFL WR?

And the NFC South will likely be on the upswing with teams like Atlanta and Carolina already in the rebuild process.
Atlanta isn’t in a rebuild mode. They already have their team. Just learning how to win now. Carolina will be putting pieces around Bryce. Tampa will either replace Evans and draft Mayfield’s replacement. All are years ahead of the Saints.

Baker might hang 50 on this defense

This is what I’ve been curious about. I said from the day they first started him a couple months back, what makes him different from say, a guy like Desmond Ridder? Why is Rattler looked at as this massive upside when what he seems to struggle with are pretty major things for an NFL QB.

Ridder had an all world RB, great offensive line, and weapons all over the field to work with and was bad. He also got 19 starts before the Falcons moved on. I don't know if Rattler is every going to be a quality NFL QB, but he has potential and you could see that in this game.

The Raiders didn’t arrive until 1:00 in the morning by the way

Rattler is the Saints future QB. First half was great, second half not so much, but he hasn't looked like he was in over his head at any point in this game. He's grown a lot in his 5.5 starts.
